Good Points: Accommodation fine, service fine, staff helpful. Food plentiful but boring.
Turn right out of the hotel and head for S'Illot - a 10 min walk and you'll find Lago's restaurant and some decent eating places.

Bad Points: Evening dinner disappointing - always a salad starter, there's only so much salad you can take on holiday.
    Self service - shouldn't be for a 5*.
Too few sun beds, the usual problem trying to find space.
Resort too touristy, turn left and there's restaurants and tattoo parlours (horrible).
Hotel Paradiso next door too noisy.

General comments: We won't be returning to the hotel. It's just in the wrong place by about a mile.
Some residents became frustrated by not being able to get a sun lounger because there just weren't enough.
Evening entertainment included a singer, a band, and a piano player who was about as good as Les Dawson.
It seemed there was evening music of some kind to drown out the noise of the next door hotel - App Paradiso. Their evening entertainment included a quiz, a band, and yes the dreaded karaoke. Get me out of here....

The Mallorca Palace Hotel standard, the quality of the waiters and the food was very good. The food in particular was always immaculately presented and there were always several different choices. The downside to this is that the indoor swimming pool is not open in the summer. The sea front area a few hundred yards in front of the hotel is tatty and falls well below the standards that should accompany a fine hotel such as the Mallorca Palace.
