Good Points: Good resort, Good hotel, Good food.

Bad Points: The hotel's evening entertainment was below average, also no kids club and no adult daytime activities.

General comments: Cala Millor is an excellent resort, which has been well planned for the holidaymaker; it has a good sandy beach bordered by a pedestrian promenade with some hotels having a panoramic view of the bay. To the rear of the beachfront hotels is a pedestrian walkway with a multitude of bars and shops that continue into the side streets, the shops stay open until around 23:00 and people enjoy walking up and down this strip after dinner.

The beach does not get over crowded; it gently shelves into the sea, which was o.k. But the water was not clear due to large amounts of seaweed particles. There are several supermarkets nearby with everything you need, and at least two fast food burger bars, and numerous bars and restaurants, several car hire offices, and a petrol station on the exit road from the resort.

Hotel castell de mar is very good, rated 4 star, has good food which is self served, the usual mix of English, Spanish, German tastes. The customer service was very good they surveyed everyone at dinner to see if things were o.k. And they really cared about what you said and took action. The hotel was not rowdy, was occupied mainly by English, Spanish, and German families and couples. There are 12 floors, most rooms have a sea view, rooms are good, and have sky TV, minibar, air-conditioning, and en-suite.
The hotel has an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, a good outdoor pool and sun beds, which were always available, so no need for the 6 am towels run!
The hotel faces the beach, which is 50 yards away.

The only minor downsides were, the hotel's evening entertainment was below average, but you could find this elsewhere anyway so not a problem, also no kids club and no adult daytime activities, although not a problem for us.

    Overall very good, recommended.
