Hi montemar is a great place to stay only a 5 minute walk to the spar shop, supermarket martin and 10 minute walk to the beach, with some shops bars and restuarants near the beach front. There is a great selection of beach bars, and a tourist information kiosk. There is a boat that goes to Ibiza town,Santa Eulalia,Es Cana,Formentera and Cala Prada from Cala Llonga beach front.Every wednesday there is a hippy market in Es Cana so go by taxi or hop on the water taxi boat.Going back to comments about the hi montemar,I have got 2 downsides 1. THE APPARTMENTS NEED AIR CONDITIONING-PLEASE and beware of the top appartments as they have dangerous low walls some 30 feet up.Beware at all times-have done and sent complaint to Thomas Cook rep on site at the montemar. Hopeful this has been sorted and rectified by now!!!!!

Cala Llonga, hotel Montemar - After arriving at 2am we were welcome by a very pleasant man who very kindly dropped us off to out room, as it was so far away from the reception. Once we arrived we realised the placed had a damp smell, and once taking a closer look we found that there was rat faeces on one of the tables and the kitchen work top had hairs on it. The rooms were dirty and had cotton buds and used hair bands on the floor. The toilet smelled terribly and the bath had hairs in it. As we ...

When we arrived at the Hotel Montemar there was problems from the start. Our room was ready and then it was not then when we finally got a room we were given a hand written map and left to find our own way and it was not easy finding our room. When we finally got our room our key would not open the door, after 3 trips back to reception. Then after 3 keys later one of the cleaners came and opened the door, but that was not the finish of our problems as we then had to wait 3 hours in our room whi ...

We spoke to some people who did not have as pleasant a stay as us, but we booked last minute as we lost another holiday due to airline going bust, and we were thrilled!! We're not easily pleased either! We would go back to the Montemar.

Was on my own with two kids at end of season - was left to carry my bags to my room on my own - up lots of steps! Some days no entertainment - little to do in town at this time of year! Would not say this was 3 star by any means. Staff very nice and chilled about everything. Not allowed any inflatables in pool! Room was dark damp and smelled - no light in the kitchen so would have found it difficult to cook even if I had wanted to. I got this holiday at a good price some people paid double - ...

It was mine and my boy friends first holiday that we have been on and overall we had a fantastic time, We met a lot of people who have become our friends. The entertainment crew kept everyday fun with something different. They got you on stage (when we wouldn't normally do that). We won loads of things and its all down to them. The food wasn't that bad, but there are very nice resturants close by, one called flippers. It was fantastic. The hill isn't that bad, there is a little short cut anyway ...

The location of the hotel is a short walk from Cala Longa beach and is set surrounded by pine trees. Our room was a very good size with an extremely large balcony which had lovely views over the pine trees and into town. There was enough organised entertainment to keep children busy, but not too much as to be intrusive.Found reception staff I dealt with to be extremely un-helpful and at times rude. When faced with issues I had, general reply was "well its August and we are fully booked." Surely ...

Overall a very good holiday for the price, I find it difficult to rate this complex say 2 1/2 stars for the rooms and between 3 to 3 1/2 for the overall complex. Cala Llonga itself is very pretty/ clean. Hope you have a wonderful time.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay up at the Hotel Montemar in Cala Llonga, Ibiza, and we had a fantastic time! We have 3 children aged 14, 11 and 5. We did not see the eldest two half of the time. The two people who organise the games were OK. and they kept the children amused with games and competitions.

Our apartment was good, and we had a two bedroom place, with the three children in one, and us in the other, so it wasn't cramped. We were up quite a few steps so there was normally ...

The Hotel Montemar in Ibiza is set in a lovely location in Cala Llonga, although there are steep hills and many steps to some of the apartments, which could be a problem for older people especially. Also difficult when mauling heavy luggage in the blazing heat! I have to say that it was badly run, and there were many complaints while we were there, e.g. water went off, faulty safe, hundreds of ants, given wrong keys to apartment, towels not changed often enough, food terrible, chef sneezing al ...

We had a great time in Montemar!!
When we came in on the 7th of september we checked in. The staff was very polite, if you treat them polite they will treat you polite and with respect. They came in every day to clean our room and with clean towels and toilet paper.
We would like to tell all the filthy people, to pick up after them self. Because the tourists are too lazy to clean, and then they start complaining about ants. If you eat in a warm country where ever in the world, you should clean ...

We arrived in the middle of the night to be told that we had been over booked. This was something that happened on a regular basis, we went on to find out. My children had to sleep in the car, and I sat in reception all night. Staff were rude and shouted because I refused to be removed to a different resort. Apartment was dirty, damp and mould was all over the ceiling. The smell of damp and must was overwhelming.

The fridge was broken and full of rust. They eventually replaced it on day 5 of ...
