I hadn't realised until a few months ago how diverse the grocery stock is in Iceland, not just frozen stuff. Good prices. My local Loughborough store staff are very helpful as I have arthritis and limited movement so can't always reach items. They also check with in store customers if they would like home delivery, (when there's room on truck), just before the driver leaves. The online order delivery people are so pleasant and patient. Sometimes there may be an online ordered item out of stock but lets face it that happens now and again if you do an instore shop anywhere . Being able to amend an online order up to 10pm eve of delivery is so useful. I often get home from shopping elsewhere and remember something I needed but couldn't face the trek back to the store. The only downside is the way they have recently changed how you pay for an online order. Its not always convenient to have to pay on ordering when you're choosing a delivery date a few days ahead. For those on limited income, pensions, benefits etc, it means you cannot order earlier than your payday. Overall a very easy and cost effective way to shop for majority of household items.

just had the rack of lamb from the Iceland luxury range, fantastic! Better than i've had from M&S or Waitrose.

I have recently bought a Rising Dough Pizza, from Iceland, just to try it. Imagine my surprise, when I cooked it, and it was a lot better than the take away ones I usually get. The flavour was Indian Curry, and it was really tasty (all of the benefits, with none of the drawbacks)I shall by purchasing more of this range in the very near future. Well done Iceland, keep up the good work!

I've been having home delivery from Iceland, Ashley Road in Poole and all the staff are lovely, from the cleaner up to the Manager. Always helpful in the store. Now discovered I can shop online which is even better, first delivery last week and what a helpful delivery driver, as usual. Love everything about Iceland, good value and good selection without too many choices which irritates me. Well done Iceland

I will no longer shop at Iceland because of its sponsorship of such a barbaric show as I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here, a show that illustrates how so called celebrities will do absolutely anything for fame and money, where animals sexual organs,(better on the animal,) are eaten for fun, where insects are obviously either injured or killed as a piece of entertainment. The show is barbaric trash which sadly shows how far we have evolved and belies the myth that we are actually a civilised species.

iceland, at first i thought it would be all full of chavs in their mckenxie jackets, not like i have a problem with that but when is stepped in i was on to a winner, the products are great, priced are great and easy to see, and the own brand and big brand variety is excellent for such small stores, my cousin was a regular shopper here, so now my dad and i enjoy it too. things like frozen food, fresh and chilled are all worth the small prices, staf are happy to help and i think they deserve to be bigger than tesco.

I recently shopped in the Iceland at Levenshulme - which I understand is a recently rebranded cooltrader store. Staff were very helpful and cheerful, most of the products they have on offer are at great low prices. For example chicago town twin pizza packs are just £1 and they have all the different types, unlike the tescos just round the corner where they are £1.50. In addition they stock most of the dalepak products which the other shops appear to have now neglected to stock - Asda used to but have dropped them. Kingsmills bread loafs are also avaiable at 2 for £1.50 which is much cheaper than all the other stores who usually sell them 2 for £2 on offer! Overall a very pleasant shopping experience and somewhere I would shop again.

Although I woiuld not recommend buying all of your weekly groceries from Iceland, it is fantastic for subsidising your shopping. There are some amazing deals such as £3 for 8pk of Lucozade or 6pk Lucozade Sport - £1 for 4pts of Milk (the cheapest I can find from any retailer). Frozen vegetables, pizzas, potato products and desserts are particularly good value for money, and a high standard of quality. However, lots of groceries are over priced (tomato puree is £1. It's 24p in Aldi)
Unfortunately, Iceland does sell a lot of poor quality food such as the ready meals, and some of the frozen meat. The frozen chicken is imported from Thailand or Brazil, which means it is reared in horrific conditions (which is evident from the taste) and has a large environmental impact.
The quality of customer services tends to differ in each store, but my local Iceland's service is the best I have ever received in a supermarket. Every employee is courteous, helpful and their free Home Delivery Service (spend over £25) is fantastic.
Overall, I would recommend going to Iceland and spending about half of your weekly grocery budget to get the best value for money.

Iceland was excellent, my first time and i liked it, well laid out, if lacking overhead signs telling people what was on the isles! but the service was top, very quiet and it was exceptionally quiet

Iceland is a very good shop. They have good brand names at a reasonable price, and their own brand name is good quality. All well presented, very clean, helpful staff, always someone on the till, items have a good expiry date, unlike KwikSave. I am a very happy customer.

Iceland is a very very good shop! It's cheap, It's clean, and the staff are always helpful! You are never waiting long in a queue because staff always open another till if they're busy.

I did not find the food to be particularly cheap at Iceland, and all prices are rounded up not down.
