Good Points: Everything! Staff attitude. Shop is clean. Quality food. best Fish and meat in any shop in England. Shelves are stocked and not left empty.
Bad Points: Shop needs to be bigger in PETERSFIELD!
General comments: Ok so its a little more expensive. Check out the Chicken. Tesco is 99pence cheaper for the same weight of chicken breast but look at it. There little fat in waitrose chicken. Lots in Tesco's so is it really cheaper?
Look at the fish, clean meat with plenty of meat in each fish.
The range of products available, ok if you'd rather make fatty chips and eggs then go somewhere else, but if you want high quality good healthy food...waitrose is the best by far.
Veg that hasn't gone brown. Bread that isn't moldy!
Staff that are helpful.

Always a positive experience, loads of goodies, happy to part with the cash! The store managers are always on hand supervising and happy to attend & listen to customers. They get my vote every time!

They are more expensive. And only half of that can be claimed to be ethically-sourced-based costs, which half the time is a bit of a nonsense, as there are still African and South American products all over the place.
And, certainly the Waitrose store that I go to, the choice is not on a par with the huge megastores that the market leaders can afford to build and run.
But I think we have to consider other things also -
Quality of Service. Staff in Waitrose actually greet you and apol ...

Waitrose: They have just built a new waitrose store where I live which has taken over the safeways store. I have to say that i have only shopped there the once. I find it too expensive and there are no special offers that we were used to when safeways was there. I cant see the shop lasting as all I have heard is complaints from the locals. The shop looks like a hospital all in white and there is nothing eye catching about it.
There seems to me to be no life or atmosphere there at all.

Well now, if you want to shop in paradise - go to Waitrose in Salisbury. Indeed any Waitrose store is the ultimate in excellence in every possible sphere. Some folk say it's expensive. Compared with the likes of ASDA, then I suppose it costs more for the average shopping expedition. But then there is no real comparison.

Waitrose is a good all-round, well-laid out store. There is plenty of room between the aisles in the Abingdon store, building work has been going on now to enlarge it, but service has not been interupted. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff if you can't find an item or if not on the shelf they will look to see if stock is available.

What a shop, Waitrose is top of the heap (yes, higher than M&S). The service I get from my local Ruislip branch is next to none. The staff are incredibly courteous, and the food quality is amazing. If you buy food from Waitrose, you rarely have leftovers. That's why it's worth the extra money.
