Its a good supermaket. Its food remind home made food which is a definite bonus. Shop layout is friendly and far away from Morrison like. Products quality is good and I had never had a problem nor any complaints. Whats really makes Waitrose stand out is its staff. Always helpful, smiled and caring. I have been sung 'Happy Birthday' by staff member while I was buying my birthday cake. What a highlight. One bad thing, as Waitrose has its range of products 'Matches TESCO price' it does not always charge you right money at the till so be careful. It sells RedBulls two for 0.99 which has not been yet beaten by any retailer. Well done!

Waitrose has got to be the worst shop that i have ever had the dis- pleasure to shop in.
the fridge freezer had, and i swear to god this is true, a dead rat at the back of the bottom shelf which almsot made me puke.
when i went to the toilet it had obviosuly not been cleaned for weeks as there was human waste everywhere, even up the wall!!
if you ever wondered if there was a shop in hell then just imagine waitrose because its as close as you are going to get- Read 545's review (95 words)

Overall Id say waitrose is a great supermarket. I go to the one in Richmond, Surrey and its light, airy and you dont find yourself whacking into other shoppers as the aisles are quite wide.
The choice of food is pretty good too - Id say still fractionally behind the quality of M&S in certain areas - but overall its one of the best.
Its a bit pricey, but if you're looking for a good supermarket id recommend it

Excellent service at Waitrose, quality products and a pleasure to shop there. OK, so it might be a little more expensive for everyday products, but the choice is superb and there are items you simply won't get anywhere else. If you want a pleasurable food shopping experience, don't go anywhere else!- Read Guest's review (51 words)

Having recently moved to Kenilworth, I was quite delighted with the prospect of having Waitrose nearby. The store is quite spacious and has a good range of products available. The only (major) problem I had recently is by being charged to pay more than I was supposed to: after leaving the store I noticed that I had apparently paid for items that were not physically present in the shopping cart (Tip for the future: always examine the check while in store and if the cashier folds the check, then b ...- Read tori2's review (130 words)

I am spoilt for choice in my local town as there is every supermarket you could ask for but Waitrose is the best in my opinion. The product range is fantastic, the staff very helpful and friendly and also knowledgeable so it seems. On the one occasion the store did not have what I needed, the staff member actually told me how to make it myself which I then did which was great. I also like the fact that Waitrose support local good causes (well they do in my area and not sure about all branches) - ...- Read speakout's review (233 words)

I always enjoy shopping at Waitrose they do excellent food. The staff at th Sandbach branch have always been friendly and tidily dressed. Also the aisles are wde so you can easily move around them. They beat Aldi, Morrisons, Somerfield and Tesco. So ifyou want good quality fruit veg and ll that stuff i reccomend going to Waitrose you won't be dissapointed.
Happy shopping- Read 34es's review (74 words)

Shop always spotless. Staff very polite. Goods have a long shelf life very important when living alone. I think they are getting a bit more competitive which i found very good.
Shopping at Waitrose is always a pleasure. I enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the restaurant while waiting for my lift home.- Read kathleen howard's review (79 words)

I feel that Waitrose has generally lost the plot and that its expanded to a size that it seems to no longer care about customer service. As each shop assistant is called a partner, I think that makes some of them think they have the right to treat me as a customer poorly.- Read bad dog2's review (104 words)

I'm a big fan of the John Lewis partnership and Waitrose is a good example of what makes them so good. I love the fact that I rarely have to queue at the checkout, that the staff will go out of the way to help and always offer assistance with packing and that the quality of the food is always good. (When I did buy something that went 'off' before it's sell by date, I was given a replacement without a quibble on the basis of my word alone). When I've talked to staff at Waitrose they have always to ...- Read RodatAlston's review (159 words)

Ok so its a little more expensive. Check out the Chicken. Tesco is 99pence cheaper for the same weight of chicken breast but look at it. There little fat in waitrose chicken. Lots in Tesco's so is it really cheaper?
Look at the fish, clean meat with plenty of meat in each fish.
The range of products available, ok if you'd rather make fatty chips and eggs then go somewhere else, but if you want high quality good healthy food...waitrose is the best by far.

They are more expensive. And only half of that can be claimed to be ethically-sourced-based costs, which half the time is a bit of a nonsense, as there are still African and South American products all over the place.
And, certainly the Waitrose store that I go to, the choice is not on a par with the huge megastores that the market leaders can afford to build and run.
But I think we have to consider other things also -
Quality of Service. Staff in Waitrose actually greet you and apol ...- Read degbert's review (336 words and 1 comment)

Waitrose: They have just built a new waitrose store where I live which has taken over the safeways store. I have to say that i have only shopped there the once. I find it too expensive and there are no special offers that we were used to when safeways was there. I cant see the shop lasting as all I have heard is complaints from the locals. The shop looks like a hospital all in white and there is nothing eye catching about it.
There seems to me to be no life or atmosphere there at all.- Read Natalie CJ's review (102 words and 2 comments)
