Good Points: Brilliant hotel, excellent staff, huge pool with separate water slide pool, small pool in family room area, picturesque

Bad Points: we were in the family suite area and had the furthest room from the main pool area - 150 steps in total.

General comments: We have just returned from our first visit to Turkey. We had the most relaxing holiday ever, made all the better by staying at this superb family orientated hotel. even though the hotel was full when we were there, it never felt that way - plenty of space around the huge pool and no queues for either restaurant or bars. the staff are all superb at their jobs, from the Animation Team led by the larger than life Toto, to the waiters who are always on hand to refill glasses, remove plates and have a chat, especially making children feel welcome. even though the food was very similar each day, it was all excellent quality and well presented. the pool area is kept very clean and tidy and beach towels are provided - something I wish I'd known before using half a suitcase taking our own! there is no sandy beach, but it has a lido area with huge comfortable cushions to relax on. all the sunbeds are cushioned too. the setting is picturesque and not too close to the centre of Bodrum, it takes about 15 mins to walk along a seafront path or there is a taxi rank just outside the hotel.
the only thing that could possibly spoil anyone's holiday is the number of steps up the hillside to the family apartments. we had 150 - not a problem for us, but if you're taking a toddler and pushchair....!
Must see:- the ancient city of Efes. although it was approx 3 hours coach journey to reach it, it's more than worth it. even our children aged 11 and 9 enjoyed it - we didn't hear "I'm bored" or similar grumbles once the whole day!
Must do:- 1.take a boat trip. the sea is amazingly clear and refreshing and what better way than standing on top of a boat to get an all round tan!
2.haggle for bargains in the market! It took some getting used to, but is good fun in the end. You can knock no end off the 'Genuine Fakes'.

We would have no hesitation returning to this hotel and would definitely recommend it to family or friends.

Really enjoyed the two weeks spent at the Aegean holiday village. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Village kept spotless and plenty to do for all ages. Would most certainly go back again.
