    Good Points: Handles very well, 4-wheel disk brakes, smooth V-6. Very compfortable for long trips. Great economy for full size car... 26mpg on trips@70mph


    Bad Points: Air conditioner system has had some problems. Transmission went out at 105k and rebuilt.


    General comments: 1997 LHS has 162k miles. Only expensive work was to replace evaperator on A/C and rebuild transmission. Readout on Infinity radio is out so don't I know what station I am on but seek works well and who cares if you like what is playing?
    I bought this for traveling and it it great. Very compfortable seats, fully adjustable. Has all power options. With exception to work shown above, only maintenance done is oil change EVERY 3000 mi. and transmission changed at each 50k. Tires last 60-65k. Still on original brake pads! Total average gas milage for 2001 was 21.8 for 19k miles. Very acceptable for its size.
    This model is no longer produced and replaced by the 300M which I will probably buy next.
