Good Points: Absolutely none, it's a terrible shop.
Bad Points: Very rude staff, non-existence customer service.
General comments: I recently bought a phone from phones4u (pay as you go), and it froze a couple times, but I just thought these things happen sometimes with technology, so I turned the phone on and off again and carried on. But now the phone's keypad has stopped working completely and the phone cannot be used. So I took the phone back to the shop and the person I spoke to wasn't interested, because I had the phone more than 28 days (I had had the phone for exactly 30 days) he didn't seem to care. So I asked for the manager who said it's pretty much my problem that the phone didn't work. So I pretty much feel that they have just taken my money and given me nothing for it. I felt the staff I spoke to in general were just so rude leading me to tink I was silly person that didn't know what I was talking about, that I was pressing the buttons wrong. The manager was a little better but I still don't have a phone and have over £100 less than I did before I went in the shop.

Phones 4 U sold me two contracts by mistake.
The staff in the store didn't solve the problem in FIVE months, I had to by myself eventually. They left me with a £660 bill which was a result of their mistake but they would not take responsibility for it, and they refused to pay for it.
I felt that they used to sigh and laugh at me when I went in every couple of weeks to chase up on the things they said they would do, which they had never completed.
They left my once perfect credit rating ...

My son who was a student with no income was able to by a contact. Having realised in a panic what he had done, he returned the next day to cancel the contract within the 14 day cooling of period. He was told he would have to come back when the manager was in the store as he was away training at another store. My son returned to the store 7 times withing the 14 days and was told the same thing. Having come home from holidays I took the phone back, and was then told he had exceeded the 14 day coo ...

Do not make the same mistake as me going to phones4u for a contract. Firstly they did what they always do, try and charm you to get you to buy the contract. Then I was pushed in to going for an 18 month contract, which I said I didn't want, but they said after 12 months I would get an upgrade. I didn't! It is 12 months now and I asked them for the upgrade, but apparently they don't even do that!! They also told me that I would be given a temporary telephone number for 3 days whilst my old number ...

I stupidly swapped phone contracts after spending 5 years as a happy Vodafone direct customer, and went with Phones4U. I put up with the Ra Ra we're wonderful sales talk, and the completely unnecessary need to ask my hobbies. After a few months the phone developed a problem with the top button, I could not be bothered to report it as the Phones4U repair process is so long winded .Later, the charger stopped charging (about 6 months later) I had to go through the process which is this:1. Drive to ...

Don't recommend ever using Phones4 u, i have had an awful experience with them. I was told inaccurate information by the salesman, i returned my phone as i wasn't happy with the contract or the phone and was told by a very arrogant manager that i could not cancel and he would not replace my phone! Even though the phone was faulty! This has been ongoing for 8 months now with Phones4 u and still no help from them, there an absolute waste of time, PLEASE NEVER USE!

Very pushy sales people at Phones 4U, although nice to deal with. I would recommend getting your phone though direct from one of the service provider shops, as they did use my phone before hand and said it when I asked them if it had been used before.
Apart from that they were good.

I went into a store on a road show day and they said we can offer you amazing things today so i said what are you going to offer me then. They said we will give you unlimited calls and stop the clock and unlimited texts (vodafone). so i said yes, and i was happy until i got the bill of £300 apparently they did not put on stop the clock. so i went to take this up with phones4u whom denied offering me this deal. so i rang there customer services and they said we did not offer you this i kept ...

On tuesday 15th january i visited my local phones4u shop in regard to purchasing a mobile internet package, i was advised that they had a product that was suitable for the area i intended moving too, (usb modem dongle) and infact the sales guy even said he lived around the corner and he had excellent coverage and assured me it would be excellent aswell, even showing me it on a map on the screen in the shop . i tried the product that night at my home address and altough the connection speed was ...

I purchased a sony ericsson w810i October 2006, within a couple of months i had to return the phone as it was faulty, they sent it away for 2 weeks, when i got it back all seemed fine but a few months later the phone was faulty again, once again i took it back, 2 weeks later it was returned and again i thought everything was fine but in october this year the fault returned with a few other faults, it was nearing the warranty period and i voiced my concerns to the store staff, they advised that o ...

I bought a phone for my sister for Christmas at the Phones 4U Bolton store but she since changed her mind about type of phone she wants so I went to EXCHANGE the phone for a more expensive model and was told that I had missed the exchange period of 2 weeks by 2 days and that they could do nothing about it! However they have since extended this period for Christmas shoppers, but since I bought it at the end of November I don't count as a CHRISTMAS shopper it seems,so I am stuck with an unwanted p ...

Purchase of a telephone top-up: although primarily a phone reseller it will top up phones.A Network 3 top up was requested and sold with grunts rather than words. On leaving the store I realised she had been given an O2 top up. Now at a distance I phoned to ask what she might do and the staff member who answered said he 'couldn't be bothered' and put the receiver down. On calling back he claimed to be the manager and eventually said a change could be made within 14 days. The following day I retu ...

Phones4U advertise 12 months free deals on their website, and you go through all the motions of buying, and in the contract there is not 12 months free stated (I was foolish enough to not read this properly). So now I am stuck with a phone for £35 a month (very basic phone) and no cashback.
I would never ever ever use phones4U again.

I am now in a 18 month contract without the services they advised I would be getting (free evening and weekend calls). When I discovered the true details of this contract and that Phones4U could not provide the services on T Mobiles behalf, the manager said that it was the 15th day now, and I couldn't return the phone.
I have not seen one review where they have been complimented for their service and the quality of their phones. I wish I had done some research much sooner, but when you are ...

I called in to my local Phones 4U when they contacted me by text to advise my former contract was due for upgrade. I discovered my existing contract still had 6 months remaining and the only way I could upgrade was to take a contract with T Mobile for £35 per month despite me saying I wanted a maximum spend of £20. this was because the store would pay me £150 to cover the cost of the remaining contract. At the point of no return as I was signing the contract I was presented wit ...

I bought my phone from Phones 4U last September with my birthday money. My phone was fine until a few months ago. I went back to Phones 4U and spoke to somebody. They said I would need to bring in the phone and charger so that they could send it away for repair. So I went back the next week and was told to phone in 10 days if it still hadn't returned. After 10 days it hadn't returned, and I phoned the store. They were very unhelpful, and they told me to phone the helpline. After being on the pho ...

You are far better off going directly to the mobile operators shop. They will generally match any deal Phones4U will be able to offer you.

Although the phone was a good price the special offer failed to materialise. The company's after-sales service doesn't exist. Would be very unlikely to use Phones4U again at all!

When I went in to cancel a deal I had been pressured into after a cooling off period, I spent hours arguing about why I wanted to cancel my phone, speaking to one person after another. They even ended up saying what if we gave you a phone that was free for a year! Took another phone with a so-called cheque-back deal. What they didn't say was that if you miss one claim period they cancel the entire claim. Feel like I've been hounded, pushed about and then not told the whole story. Absolutely aw ...
