    Victoria Palace & Spa was horrible! Old uneatable food, a non-working draining system (it stinks like poo everywhere), 100 sunbeds for >1200 guests, the hotel is FALLING APART. Rude staff.

    Dont dont dont go to this hotel 5 star, i wouldnt give it a 2 star. Not only did you have to lay your own table in the restaurant; you got chipped cups; you were lucky if you got any food. The beds were terrible, bedding didnt fit and im sure i got bitten on legs from bed. I spent last three nights on sofa with my beach towels for covers. The service throughout the hotel was terrible (there was none). It was that bad we flew home a week early because we could not stand it any longer. I could go ...

    Worst holiday we've ever taken. Would not recommend victoria palace hotel to anyone - even my worst enemy. Total waste of time and money wish we had taken a lot more notice of all the negative reviews. we are reasonable and well travelled holiday makers. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - STAY AWAY

    Before going to Victoria Palace in Bulgaria read some reviews and thought it was just people being picky but once we had been in the restaurant could see where people were coming from. No cups or cutlery and if you asked the staff for anything at all it seemed too much trouble. I have never heard so many people moan about a hotel, wont be going back.

    The hotel is stunning from the outside and is very grand inside with the massive chandelier and suchlike. Food was awful, staff unfriendly and very unhelpful, very few of them actually acknowledge you or even smile - ok I know they're busy, but it costs nothing to smile! - we don't all love our jobs! Would definitely not recommend and definitely not going back

    Hotel is stunning. Staff friendly, everywhere is so clean, rooms are really nice. After reading bad reviews we wasn't sure to go or not. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It's very posh and spotlessly clean.

    Stayed in Victoria Palace. Foyer beautiful, however I think could do with revamping some of rooms. Stayed 2 years ago in Neptune hotel, it was much better, not so much a cattle market a meal times.

    We went for two weeks 8 July 2008 and from start to finish where treated like dirt the food was a disgrace. When we complained to the management they where very rude and didn't want to know, the food was cold the hot plates where cold and when we complained where told there was a microwave which didn't work, never got a sun bed for over a week and when we sat on the seats at the pool we where ask to move by the management because to sit on them you had to by drink, after paying 1600 and being a ...

    I have just spent 2 weeks at the Victoria palace and for a 4 star hotel it is diabolical. The staff are rude. The food was 8/10 times cold tables dirty not set up properly they didn't even give you time to finish before they wanted your plates. Horrible and not cheap at all they tried to charge us 7.00 for a bottle of Magners would not go back.

    Everything was perfect. I have stayed in Bulgaria before. This hotel Victoria Palace is the best by far! I felt so safe at this hotel it was brilliant. Everything about the hotel was brilliant you must stay here if its your first time at Bulgaria. Bad point, it costs a lot to keep the hotel room on before your flight.

    I stayed here in 2005 with my partner and my son I think this hotel is by far the best i have been too ok the food was not great but it is so cheap to eat out we were not that worried. You could not get a sunbed by the pool but as the beach is just down the steps we were not that upset about it.     Reading previous bad reviews, I had to persuade my boyfriend that this was a good choice of holiday (my friend had went 2 years prior to this to the Victoria Palace and recomended it) Everything was very cheap, so not a huge amount of spending money needed. Good nightlife, not a lot of clubs, however the lively bars make up for this. Would definitely return, especially to the Victoria Palace (tip for the ladies... get a chocolate massage in the spa, its amazing!)

    nice location though not much entertainment going on along the front we were there in may a few years ago the weather at night was like being in siberia take a coat, go across to the island by boat but take a coat as it is freezing on the boat trip but well worth it when you get there, lots of beggers coming right up to you in sunny beach with babies in their arms

    the location of the hotel was amazing, the interior of the rooms and the hotel was beautiful, i read a lot of mixed reviews, but the staff were friendly although some didnt speak much english and they work very long shifts for litle pay, but overall i had a great time at the victoria palace.

    i really enjoyed my stay here, i would recommend it!!!

    The Victoria Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria is absolutely beautiful! The chandelier as you walk in tells you everything. It's a magnificent place! Everywhere in the hotel is very posh. There is even a lady playing the piano at night. There was a kids swimming pool, and there were 3 other pools - 1 with a ship in the water where you can have a drink.     The Victoria palace Hotel in Sunny beach, Bulgaria in short is a show-house with no services. If you expect even 2 star services don't go. It looks good, and it is in a good location, but that's where it all ends. Sorry.

    The staff at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach were very friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location for all amenities, and it is very clean and tidy all over the hotel, especially the rooms.

    I had a lovely holiday at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. I was not looking forward to going after reading the comments people had written about this hotel, but it was great! The food was lovely, and it was never cold. The room I had was massive. I asked for a larger standard room, which surprisingly was given to me at no extra cost, and it was massive!!     For a supposed 5* hotel, the service we received at the Victoria Palace in Sunny Beach was shocking. The food was never hot, and trying to get a table at dinner was like a rugby scrum. There was never any cutlery to be had, and tables were not cleared. I certainly could not recommend this hotel to anyone, although it is magnificent to look at. It was impossible to get a sunbed (only about 200 for the whole of the hotel) unless you were prepared to get up at about 6am.
