Good Points: Look, feel and weight makes it feel like a rifle. The weight makes it easier to hold on target. Love that the only plastic is the trigger. Had mine for over 3 years and with a good pellet it is still powerful and dead on accurate

Bad Points: Plastic trigger. Not a real down point but would add to feel value.

General comments: I bought it for general plinking and was really surprised when I bought it new for under 100 and the weight and quality of wood was more than I thought it would be. The slight kick and report lets you know you fired a powerful piece of lead. This does not feel or act like a toy.
I had a invasion of gophers soon after buying the rifle. I am not a hunter and dont go out of my way to kill an animal but seeing my sister in law fall in a hole up to her ankle and almost break it from a collapsing gopher hole made me get out the hollow points.
I added daisy 4x10 scope. Sighted it in and the next morning a large gopher presented itself. While it was digging it presents only a solid target around the size of a dime as it raises it head out after digging. I took aim 30 feet away and fired on his second rise out of the hole. The gopher never went back down.
It hit exactly where I aimed. Fired flat and the it went through the animal and into the ground. After 10 more gophers came under the 600s scope my invasion was over and I retired to plinking again. But it is nice to know that this rifle has the power and accuarcy if I need it again

For the money I paid $35 at a yard sale I would say it was a steal on my part. It is really good for taking care of chipmunks, mice, rats, frogs and opossums. I HIGHLY recommend this air rifle to anyone.

The Daisy Winchester 600x is the air rifle that got me back into airgunning. For a bargain gun, it's worth every penny. It shoots well and the sights are pretty good with micrometer type adjustments on the rear. I have no chronograph but the velocity (claimed 600fps) seems plenty reasonable.
The worst thing was the trigger pull. It felt like it took 10lbs to make it fire and that precluded any hope of getting any consistency.
I have a limited choice of pellets where I live, and have been feedi ...

After shooting a quarter of a tin of 500 Crosman Premier Hollowpoints ( I know, not the best ones to start with ) and some trigger fiddling and slight mods she started actually settling down and behaving. Today I took it out for some further range shooting than my backyard testing allowed, and consistently nailed a rattle can paint cap at 20 yards.
This was with the standard adjustable open sights that are very nice for a cheap gun. I am considering a scope in the near future.
    I have just orde ...

The Daisy Winchester 600x is the perfect gun for any kind of shooting, it's hard to miss with this gun. It seems to always fall into place when aiming. The weight and feel of the gun is amazing, it has the kind of feel you would expect to find in a $300 air rifle. It is great for target shooting and for hunting small game, sights are a downside but the fine workmanship of the gun make up for it, If you are looking for a great gun purchase this one and you will not be disappointed.

The Daisy Winchester 600x gun is great for target shooting, hunting or just what ever kind of shooting you do. It is a break bearrel that shoots 177. caliber pellets.
The overall look of this gun is amazing too. While you can get a 522x,722x,500x,600x,800x,1000x, it all depends on the velocity of the gun. This gun also has a slot that you can mount a scope on it.I think that is a great gun, and if your looking to buy a air gun this is definitely the one to get!!

Wanted a rifle for backyard plinking and field use . One that I could shoot targets and work on my marksmenship without a scope. The Daisy Winchester 600x's power is very good. I used 1/4" plywood trap box at 35 feet to sight it in and I have to throw it away as the pellets went right through the wood, small entry and heavy splintering on the back using Beeman Wadcutters.
Another reason to buy was I did not want to spend a lot of money. The 600x was perfect. Once I sighted it and foun ...
