  This shampoo (and all Head and Shoulders) it terrible. It is aimed at your scalp, which is fair enough if it gets rid of dandruff, but it is the worst thing you could put near your hair.Hair is meant to have a p.H of about 4.5 to 5.5. This has a p.H of about 8.5, which is far too acidic for your hair. Not only is it really bad for your hair, but if you have a colour in your hair, CHANGE SHAMPOO NOW, because it is so high in acid it will just take your colour out.   Recent purchase of H&S "NEW Look for men for normal hair" was very disappointing: the smell has completely changed into one that has an odour of old apple skins. I've been using this for years, I'm not sure what they have done to the shampoo but it has definitely changed.

  I personally haven't used Head & Shoulders shampoo but my family members have with little/no success - their hair seemed drier after use which aggravated the problem. Looking into this further we were advised that this product is quite harsh and can hinder rather than cure the problem.
  Shampoo containing tea tree resolved the problem much quicker and was a lot kinder to the hair.
