Good Points: Service back up
Bad Points: It broke down
General comments: Maxim MX11-20 - Had my Maxim for about ten months and it worked well, much better than the much more expensive Pioneer model in my other room! Anyway, it stopped working one day and the back-up service was nothing short of brilliant, one phone call to describe the problem and next day a new replacement player delivered.

Overall the Maxim MX11-20 is a pretty good machine for the money £59.95. I would be prepared to pay a little extra for a better handset and unswitched anolog output.- Read CHRISCO's review (80 words)

Bought this Maxim MX11-20 one week ago and it played most of my DVDs well and VCDs.
However after a few plays, I did notice a lip-sync problem. This doesn't appear consistently but was enough to ruin the experience.
Playback on 1 out of the 4 DVD movies I tried was jerky although this particular disc played well on my PC DVD player.
This would be an excellent buy given features and price. However the lip-sync problem and the jerky DVD playback on one of my discs, helped me decide to refund th ...- Read Walberg's review (143 words)

Got this Maxim MX11-20 from Safeway for 59.99. Seems good. Had a few picture glitches and lose of lip sync especially when it changed layers during Matrix. The mic quality is terrible should you ever wish to use this facility :-) There are a few bugs with menu selections failing to show where the cursor is, typing option number gets around this. Although it says its region 2 locked it played my region 1 dvd without modification (i.e. its multi region out of the box).- Read Andy's review (111 words and 1 comment)
