Toshiba Satellite 5200 has a large screen, nice looking, high quality audio with powerful speaker, rich in accessories.
Best for multimedia laptop. I hope the battery can handle it much longer

This is my third laptop, and I have previously owned a Dell and a Sony. This machine is by far the best of the three in my experience. I've found it to be very dependable, and the UXGA screen is tremendous. I bought the Toshiba Satellite 5200-701 in September 2003. Since then, many people have commented on the crispness and color intensity of the screen. More recently, this kind of screen is becoming more common. I can't comment on customer support due to the fact that this fabulous machine hasn't failed me yet, in three years. Knock on wood - I tote it from work and home on a daily basis.
Overall, it is well worth the buy.

The Toshiba Satellite 5200-701 is a great machine, no doubt about that. Excellent build quality and the most amazing laptop screen you will ever see. The only problem I have had is that the DVD Multi Drive fails to work at all.. in fact I know three other people with the same model and they all have exactly the same problem.. I/O Error when you try to access the drive.. This is extremely frustrating and seems to be some sort of manufacturing fault.. that aside everything else about it is great. You get a good solid 2 hours of battery life also which isn't bad for such a powerful machine.

I've had the Toshiba Satellite 5200-701 notebook for over a year now and I am very VERY pleased with it! With the 1GB memory upgrade, and its P4m 2.20GHz CPU makes it a fast machine! With its DVD-RW Burner it allows me to burn DVD backups and what not. And with its extra bay, I can easily add a 2nd Hard Drive, a 2nd Battery, or a 2nd Optical drive! I'm a heavy gamer and this laptop does a great job when I take it to a LAN party! However, its poor ventilation causes the laptop to heat up a lot when under heavy tasks (compiling programs, playing games, compiling movies). And the fact that it only has 64MB of dedicated memory makes it difficult to play games at a higher resolution or with higher graphics options! But overall, this is a great laptop!
