Good Points: 2000w not sure if that makes any difference??
    Cool shot
    2 power settings
    3 heat setting
    Big!
Ionic stuff - supposedly - I don't feel the difference!?? Maybe because i don't have enough frizzy hair??

Bad Points: Heavy & bulky esp if you have a lot of hair to dry
    2m cable.
To clean filter you have to use a hoover as it is not detatchable.

General comments: My last hairdryer, before I bought the Remington RE0500, was excellent VIDAL SASSOON VS774. I bought it 4 years ago - it died in my very own hands last weekend. (Well it didn't actually die on me - it just wouldn't switch off even though the power button was off). I was so scared as it kept flickering bolts of lightening down the handle. (This hairdryer is transparent red so i could see what was going on inside).I didn't know wether to carry on holding it or leave it on the floor. So I chucked it on the floor & went straight for the mains and unplugged it from wall socket. It was like a freak show - me being threatened by a hairdryer?!
Next Day Mission: Buy the most powerful hairdryer in town for under 30 quid! Went to a department store where they showed me a few examples. So after looking around I picked up the Supersonic - I thought to myself...'wow big thing must be powerful'. I asked the shop assistant to comment on the dryer. He said he has got one at home and that it's really powerful. So I just went for it.
    Results:
Was not dissapointed, however - was not too impressed either. The power was not as great as I expected in comparison to its size and weight. My last hair dryer was just as powerful considering it was half the weight and size of this mighty fella. The cord was only 2m meaning I needed an extention cord if I wanted to blowdry in the bathroom (3m would have been great!)
The cool shot was not 100% cool it was about 75%.
There are two power settings high and low. The lower setting is extremely low - sometimes makes you think - is this done to make you believe that the high setting is so powerful that it will blow your brains off? Well - yeah - I absolutely believed that the high setting was powerful as I started by using the low setting at first. But now I have used it at least 5 times and each time I use it - the power seems to get weaker - just like my arms. Well, I love my hairdryers - they are essential to me like a toothbrush. I will be content with what I've got so far - better than not having any at all.
Don't think the ionic stuff makes any difference to me.
