Good Points: 52"
Bad Points: Bulb, color wheel major expenses. Samsung should recall this product.
General comments: This Samsung HLN437W television cost us quite a bit of money. I've heard other techs state that they have the same problem with this television from other customers. The first time the bulb and color wheel went out was within 3 months of purchase and the store where we purchased it paid a repairman to fix it. It took about two weeks to fix. It had barely been a year when it went out again, I ended up having to pay $750.00 to get it fixed. Just this week 5/7/09, it is going out again. This is a 52 inch money inhaler.

The Samsung HLN437W Rear Projection Television produces a nice picture, compact box and all, but not being able to plug any audio into an amplifier is a real drag.
If any reviewers happen to be installers have any ideas about this, do write a review telling me where I'm going wrong. My email is phones.computers@verizon.net
This shortcoming is a real reason to look elsewhere. My impression is that the chassis in this box is used in several different sets, and an non-enabled "audio out" to ...- Read toocrazy2yoo's review (154 words)

Purchased a Samsung HLN437W and it was delivered 1 week later. Worked great for the first 9 days. Then it started not giving a picture when turned on and sometimes no sound. If numerous attempts made to get it to come it might. Service technician out to look at it and wasn't sure what the problem was. Returning to the store tomorrow. Do not think that 9 out of 18 days working is worth the $2700 spent.- Read hvdcman's review (79 words)

The Samsung HLN437W is a terrific option to have a big screen HDTV without being too heavy (only about 67 lbs) or too deep (less than 16 inches deep) to fit into an armoire. The price ($3499 retail) is excellent for its size (43 inch).
I am very pleased with the picture quality and the features of the TV. The picture quality in a brightly lit room with non-HDTV signals may not be as good as your cheap old-fashioned tube TV, but it is certainly adequate. Furthermore, the quality is excell ...- Read Doctor's review (194 words and 1 comment)
