    Good Points: Small shoe sizes

    Bad Points: Customer Service

General comments: I ordered 4 pairs of shoes two weeks ago over the internet. After 7 days I received two parcels with my shoes. In one parcel there were 3 pairs of shoes which I hadn't ordered (no paperwork at all included which makes it difficult to return the items). Since then I contacted them by phone - received no reply (only answerphone this was one week ago) and I wrote an email over 2 days ago - still received no reply yet. Not sure what to do next.

I placed an order with Barratts for 2 shoes in October and the money was taken out the same day and up till now 18th November, i still have not received my shoes yet. The customer service number is constantly on voice message whenever I call. I have sent several emails but have received no reply yet. I just want my shoes or my money back and even better would be to get a normal human being to let me know what is going on. Won't be buying from them again for sure.

I recently bought a pair of boots from Barratts at the cost of 60. I literally wore them once and noticed the heel had wore down immensely. I took them back to the shop with the receipt intact, but was not allowed a refund. I contacted Barratts online and I am still waiting 3 months on for my return email.

The staff at the Barratts show shop were busy chatting and didn't seem interested in the customers in the shop. I had to measure my child's feet myself and check the fitting of them when the member of staff eventually got the shoes I wanted. Fortunately, I have worked for Barratts myself in the past, so I knew what to do.

I purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter, as they did not fit I returned them (not worn) with stickers still on soles at earliest free time 13 days later. When explained to the salesperson at Barratts why I had returned them, she looked them over with a fine tooth comb. To add insult to injury, I was told because they were not in a box, that they could not take them back. I explained I did not get a box when purchased, as I had said at time of purchase "I don't want the shoe box". I al ...

Barratts has quite a good choice of shoes that are up to date and stylish. The only thing is the shop was a little messy, and the assistant took ages to find the shoes I wanted. However, I would shop in Barratts again.

I bought a fab pair of leather knee length boots in the January sales which were an absolute bargain. There were a great number of bargains to be had on the day I went in and I thought that it was one of the better January sales that I had seen, with real, worth while reductions - not a £5er off here and there. The only bad point was the shop was very messy, which reflects the sale, but I did see a lot of people stood around who could have been tidying up. Okay they were probably fed up ...

Bought a pair of men's shoes from Barratts one month ago for £35. They looked nice, but were cutting into my achilles tendon in the shop. The shop assistant said that was because they were new and this would settle after wearing them in. Well, the left shoe improved after two weeks of cutting in and the right shoe still intermittently cuts into the back of my ankle. On top of that, both heels have worn away after just one month. Now I don't expect £35 shoes to last forever, but one m ...

I brought some boots from the Barratt store a few months ago and they hurt above the ankle so I went back to the shop and was advised to let them give a little...like you do. A month passed and they didn't give in, and the rings on my legs were very painful, the boots were still cutting into me and I couldn't even wear sandles because the marks were so horrible!. Naturally I went back and was advised to give them another month....I explained that if I wore them any longer I was sure they would ...

I have always enjoyed shopping in Barratts, I have recently visited the Princess Street store in Edinburgh and the staff and service were FABULOUS!! And I must comment the store was newly refurbished with an excellent atmosphere.
