Good Points: None.
Bad Points: Everything about the system.
General comments: This Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter System is the worst paint system I have ever bought. I seriously cannot think of any good points about this product and I just cannot recommend it!

Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter System is an absolute waste of time! This is a poorly designed product. The roller fabric has a seam which deposits a line on each revolution of the roller. The hole for filling the paint is so small, that even with the funnel provided it takes about 10 minutes to fill each time. Thane's customer services were not very helpful.

I found exactly the same faults with the Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter System as all the other reviewers. I was so incensed by how much of a sham this product is that I rang Thane Direct and insisted on a full refund (including postage). Even though I had exceeded the 60 day grace period & the telesales person was insisting I couldn't have a refund - I was having none of it and got the name of someone more senior who eventually authorised a full refund. I can't believe this product is still for ...

Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter System - I watched the programme on TV, and thought that this must be a good gadget, as I saw people painting in a tuxedo. There were never any splashes or drips; their clothes were clean. I bought the kit as I had just moved into a new house. NEVER NEVER again, I was absolutely covered in paint. I went back to using a normal paint system.
It makes me wonder if all their stuff is the same.

My husband and I were disappointed on the overall working of the Tuxedo Paint System - the TV advert says "you can paint in a tuxedo" - I do not think so!! There is a fine spray when you use this roller. We do not think we will use it again, and will stick to our old roller and tray!We think it is overpriced, and not worth half of the asking price!

I bought the Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter System to make painting the stairwell easier, big mistake! Do I feel ripped off..oh yes! Paint in a tuxedo? You need to use this while being covered in tarpaulin as it DOES cover you in fine spray --when the sleeve stays in place that is, when it moves (as it constantly does) the paint blobs out of the holes!
Needless to say I've gone back to my trusty paint pads....!

Using the Thane Direct Tuxedo Painter system, paint is poured into the roller cylinder and seeps through the material sleeve to be rolled onto the wall. Either the paint doesn't come through the sleeve easily or it leaks as you fill it. I couldn't find a happy medium. If you roller too fast you get a fine paint spray and you do this because you have to work to get the paint to flow out (the polka-dot tuxedo painter system?). You use the pot to fill up the cylinder, so you don't use it for painti ...
