Pro Evolution Soccer 3 - Lets get it out int he open first, the developers didn't even bother converting this to PC from the PS2. The manual contains page after page of instructions and diagrams describing PS2 control pad layouts, only 9 lines in the whole manual refer the PC controls. The game looks shocking due to PS2 graphics on a PC. No mouse at all, game asks you to navigate using the D-PAD and X button on the PS2.
If you can put up with the horrid conversion, a moderately tolerable...

I spent weeks trying to figure out why Pro Evolution Soccer 3 did not work on my PC. My machine is the best I could get. Fixed graphics driver, got the fix patch and is now ok. Great game, excellent gameplay. All goals scored are unique.
No licensing, only national teams. Commentary is also good.

You can get control pads that are virtually identical to the PS2 control pad. I've only had it a day, but graphically it seems a little inferior to the most recent FIFA's but game play wise it's superior. If you want an approximation of the PS2 Pro Evo's (like I did so I didn't have to buy the console) then this is pretty darn good.

You really did not give it a chance.

You have to patch and patch again for this game to be playable but it is really worth it at the end. It was not by accident that it became platinum in the UK.

What I said is that it's a good game on the PS2, that I've not denied...

All I said is that they seem to have not changed it at all and so it IS nothing more than a PS2 game running on a PC, the layouts are the best example.

I've played Pro Evo 3 on the PS2 and PC extensively and highly recommend it for both platforms. Of course for the PC you gotta get a control pad and a half decent PC helps. But for me it as cheaper than getting a PS2 with its necessory accessories (e.g., memory card). Top game, if anything it runs quicker on the PC due to faster saving/loading times. Looking forward to Pro Evo 4!
