Good Points: It can shoot great distances and is recommended if you like to shoot at targets and stuff like that, or maybe other stuff. It can also be very accurate too.

Bad Points: it takes too long to reload

    General comments: It's sweeeeeeet!

I'm adding an additional review on the Daisy Powerline 9856 air rifle to the one I made a long time ago...

I took the 9856 apart and tuned it up a little. I re-greased everything inside, and re-oiled all the parts. That was the first thing I did. Then I put in a stronger hammer spring, so more force would be applied when pushing the air out of the air valve. Hence making the air push out faster. Then I made the piston housing a little smaller, so that the piston would be more snug when pumpin ...

I have 2 of the Daisy Powerline 9856 rifles and both are great for the price only 68.00 at Wal Mart. I am canadian of course anyhow the scope looks nice but sucks royal, now open sites rock even out to 200 feet I can still hit my target with it, I don't shoot paper targets just plastic army men and pop bottles. The price is good can't complain at all, I have read that some pople say they have to oil it a lot and this is just not so, the little sponge if you touch it with your finger and you get ...

The daisy powerline 9856 is a great gun for its price. When I first bought it, I had 3 shot groups covered by a dime from 50 ft, and that was with the very cheap scope that came with it. But, the scope makes it hard to put pellets in the chamber. I soon bought a 3-9 by 32 scope for it and the whole gun felt off balance, it was just too light, the scope weighed almost as much as the gun. Also the gun quickly lost its accuracy after only about 4 months and now about a year later a 3 shot group is ...

Daisy Powerline 9856 is a pretty good gun. the accuracy is so-so. I can hit a bean can from 85 feet with only 3 pumps. I tested the power of the 856 against my RM422. the RM422 is overall a much better and more powerful rifle. the 856 does not have a rifled barrel either. I would only recommend the 856 to youngsters getting ready for air gunning.

Great air-rifle for the Price and easy to shoot. If you got a few bucks to spend this is a great purchase.

I recently bought this gun on sale for only $26.99! I was a bit skeptical because of the price but was pleasantly surprised after I took it out of the box. I also purchased a daisy 3-7x air gun scope, it sighted in with few adjustments and is very consistent. I mostly use this to whack varmints in the backyard and with the exception of larger rodents (woodchuck, rabbits) it seems to due the trick. I use a beeman hollow point pellet and it is noticeably more deadly than typical hunting pointed pe ...

I am a young shooter but I still take my shooting seriously. Recently I purchased the Powrline 9856 target kit from Wal-Mart. The first thing you will notice is the price. It is only $34.00! I obviously don't have a steady income so I wasn't going to buy a $300.00 Winchester. Not to mention my backyard can't handle 1,000fps. But back to the review. How good of a gun can it be for $34.00 you ask? Well, to my standards, pretty darn good. I took it home and instantly went right into the bo ...
