    Good Points: I love the fact that this Saitek HOTAS system is both user friendly and stable. I have used it since Microsoft discontinued support for the Force Feedback controller 6 months after I purchased it. I have loved it for Mechwarrior 3 & 4 and each and every flight sim I put it up to. I can say it is a MUCH better value than the cheesy Thrustmaster products of the last few years. They went down hill after they started making their products all plastic instead of aluminium bases.


    Bad Points: I had to rearrange my desk to accommodate it and then anchor it down with Velcro which was not included. But if they included Velcro it would be perfect.


    General comments: I love it, buy it and you will love it too.

    The Saitek X45 PC game controller is great value, but it is not appropriate for every single game (which is a big shame).

    Installation was no problem, but sometimes on my XP machine the software wouldn't load into my systray on boot up. I ought to get the latest driver (not the shipped one), but it's not that big a deal, and I can still launch the software with a couple of mouse clicks.

    This is a proffessioanally made HOTAS(c) Controller. It has many programmable buttons and hat switches on both the Joystick and Throttle.

    The Saitek programming packaged is easy to use and there is a graphical display of the controller enabling you to tell what button you are trying to assign a command to.

    The joystick itself is so sensitive if you with that even the slightest of movments is actions perfecly.
