Leaving the political criticism to one side - the Beeb has received its fair share of critics for not providing value for money. I disagree with this. The BBC, including the flagship BBC1, is envied the world over for its quality and independence. There is also something very professional about most of the presenters and the way they approach programmes compared to the other channels.
