Good Points: New music every day, quality music, funny DJ's, easy to win the competitions, you can say what you want, and you can also hear songs months before the other stations play them.
Bad Points: Prizes are budget. Not family friendly.
General comments: XFM really is the best radio station on the airways, especially if you love rock, Indie, and alternative. I found it by mistake when trying to tune into Virgin.
The DJ'S are people such as comedian Jimmy Carr, CD:UK presenter Lauren Laverne who has a breakfast show, and Kubbs lead singer brother Lucio. I have won some of their competitions because it is very easy... You just call up and can get straight through, although the competition prizes are normally just DVD's or a CD, you sometimes get lucky with tickets to see good bands.
They keep you up-to-date with the latest news on gigs and bands, and have they play really good exclusive tracks from bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Nizlopi, Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs before any other station.
The only real problem with the station is its freedom to say what they like, this makes it a non-family friendly radio station. The DJ's swear and the songs are rarely edited, but this is only a problem if there are younger ears listening.
Overall the best radio station on the airwaves.
