Good Points: Good music, good competions, some good DJs, Funny (Scott Mills' wind ups) The Live Lounge, Sara Cox and the crazy JK out of JK & Joel.
Bad Points: The Chris Moyles show. I know he is popular, but I can't stand this show! I hate his annoying jingles, his annoying parody songs, his ego. He likes the sound of his own voice far to much and he only plays a song when he wants to have a cigarette or go to the toilet. I don't like any aspect of his show. Carpark Catchphrase has to be the most mundane, boring, unfunny part of the Chris Moyles show. If you're reading this Chris, everything you have ever done or said on your show, Chris Evans has already done about 10 years ago. The only thing Moyles does that Evans didn't is repeat large sections from his previous shows, and pretends he likes football.
General comments: I have to get up early for work so when i switch my car radio on i always tune into the JK & Joel show. This can sometimes be amusing and these two play plenty of songs and dont take themselves to seriously. This show has lots of caller participation regarding choosing songs and playing the crazy you say we pay game.
Unfortunatley this show ends at 7.00am and Chris Moyles show begins. I used to listen to Moyles but i now change stations.
After Moyles has had his three hours of self promotion Jo Wiley has her slot. Im usally at work when Jo is on the airwaves but when i have listened to her show i like the live lounge, when she has a band or singer in the studio singing live and often covering other singers songs.
Other regular DJs include Eidith Bowman, Colin Murrey, Vernon Kay, Sara Cox, Chappers and Dave, Scott Mills, Dave Pearce and Pete Tong.
Most of the shows are pretty similar regarding the type of music they play and the audience it is aimed at, the respective DJs have their own games and competions although Dave Pearce and Pete Tong only play dance anthems and often play a set live from a nightclub in Ibiza.
Radio 1 also have podcast which you can download and put on your MP3 player, its basically the best bits from previous shows which listeners can download if they missed a show. Im not sure why anyone would want to listen to a radio show which is not live, but the podcast allows you to if you so desire.

I love this Radio station, however I couldn't listen to it all day due to the repetivness of certain songs which usually results in me hating a song I first loved. Chris Moyles is absolutely fantastic so is Scott Mills & Vernon Kay, however I can't say much for the other DJ's. Edith is OK, but I find the rest of them dull and boring. I like most of the music they play which is good, the choose your own song hour that Scott Mills does is often brilliant with a lot of decent tunes.

Funny, informative and interesting. Doesn't get much better than this. Chris Moyles is great when I'm still trying to wake up in the morning and I have to listen to him in the shower because I can't get anything else to tune on that shower radio.

Radio one isn't owned by tax payers, but by record labels.

I've been a massive fan of Radio One and until recently I've not really thought of listening to much else. They are the biggest station and they don't have to have adverts though increasingly they do generally for some BBC Drama which also entered your subconscious via multiple television adverts.
Being one of the biggest stations they can get the best guests, interviews and competition prizes. They do also have a good selection of music including emerging artists though I would like to see ...
