Good Points: Location: only two stops away from the colloseum on the metro, and a five minute walk to the metro station piramide

Restaurants: There is a bar right next door to the hotel on via dei osteinse, which plays mtv base, and has very nice food and staff!

The hotel entrance: You will be greeted by a head statue on a column...and by tinted glass doors!

Reception: Marble floors and surrounding areas, with two sofas on either side of the reception and a scenic view of the whole of rome on the wall! The reception are freiendly and can speak fluent English!

Rooms: Are kept clean daily by the maids, but this is very basic. The beds and shower facilities are also very basic, nevertheless if you are looking for a tight budget holiday this is very good for the price! (you shoud look on ryanairhotels.com as they do it much cheaper than if you were to go there and book it: around £18 a night on 2 ppl sharing!

you are allowed to come back whenever you want, although we felt really bad about waking the old men at the reception to open the doors to us!

You should check out the town nearby known as Teschaacio it has many restaurants and bars and nightclubs, and it is only a five minute walk from the hotel! This town has not yet been hit by the tourism! So real authentic italian night out!

not withstanding all the sights to see, but a quick warning everything costs money!!! and rome is a beautiful city at night!

Definately check out the st peter's church (even though he denied Jesus three times!!!!)...You may be lucky to get to see the pope on the Sundays during his sermons!

Bad Points: There are no 'lift' facilities in the hotel, so not recommended for those with travelling diffculties.

People in Rome cannot drive and most do drink and drive! so be careful as you have no right of way when walking!

The food is not all that .... unless you can afford eating in nice expenisve places!!

Unless you know the histroy behind all the features of Rome, you cannot appreciate it that much because by the end everything just looks alike and most of it is all rubbles!

We bought a weekly metro travelcard but not once was it checked so we could have actally travelled for free!!!! that was really annoying

and most shop assistants in souvenir shops are very rude!!!

General comments: Overall the holiday at Piramide Hotel was good, pity about the weather, food and expenses!
