One of the best hotels on Lanzarote that myu wife and I have stayed at. Fro the moment you arrive you are looked after by the staff, nothing is too much trouble for the. You are always welcomed with a friendly smile from the receptionists to the cleaners. The hotel is spotless,The food was excelent and entertainment was wonderful. All this and NO CHILDREN. I will keep going back for more. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any couple who want a relaxing break. (read more)

We had never been to Lanzarote before and plenty of people told us their horror stories but from the moment we arrived we found everyone so very friendly and the service was excellent.
Always something lovely to eat even though I am a vegetarian. The entertainment catered for almost everyone (Unless you're a bendiorm fan) The room was very very clean and spacious. The best part was the pool area as it had a quiet area and an activity area. We enjoyed the constant breeze and had a lovely... (read more)

At last a hotel that ticks all the boxes. My husband and myself really enjoyed our week, came home tanned and relaxed and would not hesitate to book again. Fantastic food, helpful friendly staff, lovely rooms, entertainment every night and Thomson reps were brilliant. (read more)

“We loved it there because of the laid back atmosphere...”

We loved it there because of the laid back atmosphere and the peace and quiet to relax in. There are no children under the age of sixteen in this hotel, so it really is very quiet. I would say that if you are looking for a lively holiday then this hotel would not suit you. Also, although there were the odd few younger, the majority of the age group in this hotel I would say, was about 45 and upwards.
We would certainly go back. (read more)

Located about 20 minutes walk from the resort centre, and thus not plagued by the noise of late-night revelries, the hotel is built in the modern low-rise Ziggurat style offering sun on all balconies. Twin rooms are big enough to sleep four people in ample space. They are furnished with superbly firm beds. Bed linen is changed every other day and towels are changed daily. Overall Coronas Playa Hotel is brilliant it is exceptionally clean, very modern the staff are all very helpful in any way they can be. Food is superb entertainment ok, location of hotel is overlooking the sea and is a 5 min walk away from the promenade which then is a 20 min stroll into costa teguise town which is lovely. There are lots of little shops and bars you can go in then you can take a gentle meander back to the hotel by walking round the road way which is well lit and very safe... (read more)

Having read the reviews for the Coronas Playa Hotel prior to booking our holiday we felt we had made the right decision in booking this holiday due to the level praise it seemed to receive.

However, on arrival found the resort, especially the surrounding area of the hotel, to be pretty poor, hardly any bars especially and it is at least a 20 minute walk to the resort centre!

The beds are extremely uncomfortable, never slept on such a hard bed in my life!

You are being a bit fussy on this report, the hotel is a Thomson Gold Star Hotel, the resort is lovely and quiet, no rowdy lager louts, what is a 20 minute walk, it is a lovely walk along the seafront if you want it more lively go to Benidorm or Faliraki or better still Blackpool.

<br>The brochure states numerous bars/restaurants - not in my view, very limited choice and did not wish to walk into the main resort every day when its takes an average of 20 minutes to get there!

I am going to stay at this hotel in 10 days time. This was booked on reviews from this site and holidays uncovered. I have now heard that there are problems with the pool area. I had hoped that there would be some feed back on this, on one of these sites.

I am glad that I am not in the minority about the Coronas, I have only four weeks untill I go back and am really looking forward to it. Had a bit of an accident recently dislocated and broke my shoulder so this holiday has come at a good time. If anything has changed will let you all know when I return.

My boyfriend and I are staying at the Coronas Playa Hotel in November 2005. I find it very hard to believe that you had a rotton time there and all the poor comments that you have made!!! I looked up this hotel on the Holidays Uncovered site and found over 50 reviews or more and they all reported back excellent comments and we are really excited and can't wait for our holiday to begin. I hope for our sakes that you are wrong and are just a general complainer!!! because we are going to be surely disappointed if you are not. You can't exactly blame the Coronas Play for the windy weather, surely you had the opportunity to check this out before you made your holiday choice. I have stopped at Thomson Gold hotels before and I have found them all to be excellent value for money.

My friend and myself both loved the Hotel Coronas Playas it was friendly, clean and inviting. The staff from the cleaners to the management were helpful in every resepect, the food is brilliant and the whole experience of the Coronas Playas was lovely. Costa Teguise was quiet and it was "SAFE" to walk around at night no drunken yobbos/lager louts and it caters for all age groups. I was 46 on my first trip and my friend was 60 we would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday. We are going back to The Coronas Playas in 3 weeks April 2006 for an 11 night stay and we can't wait.

not gold, more 2 star than 4 star, never again, stay 7 nights all inclusive, ate out and drunk out most nights, pools too ice cold for swiming never saw any one use then, room 430 very bad, some staff very good. rep unhelpful.(thomson). 1/1/12-8/1/12.

The holiday in Jan 2003 was excellent. You could not complain about anything, you were treated so well right from the start. I have never ever been in such big rooms, plenty of space. The food was excellent and always hot. You could go in to Sams Restaurant once a week instead of the dining room where you were waited on, this was good. The entertainment was good and there was something going on all day and night and the bonus was - no kids. (read more)

<br>a week Dec.4th.to 11th. we had a lovely time food was marvelous and plentiful rooms spacious and well appointed and kept at a very high standard

I agree i just came back from there a couple of weeks ago. The waitors were really friendly and really good-looking. However the resort was dead and nothing around for at least a 30minute walk. The hotel was great though.
