Overclockers understands the Sale of Goods legislation but chooses to ignore it. Customer service is very poor and there are so many better and cheaper places to buy the items they sell. I bought quite a few items from them but service and value declined to the point where I decided that I would never buy from them again. I had a graphics card that failed within six months, but getting a repair or replacement proved impossible, and the refund was derisory and slow, with all sorts of spurious deductions.

My experiences, and the attitudes rumoured, indicate that this Company and its owners hold their customers in complete contempt.

    Quite simply - BUY ELSEWHERE!

Awful customer service. Forget the warranty your product comes with. It counts for NOTHING with them. Its just a crafty way of squeezing more money from you.

Bought from Overclockers, with whom I had previously bought several £1000s of computer components to build PCs for myself and others, the card had a component detached and loos in the box. As I had bought with the intention of doing an overhaul I didn't open the box for 3 weeks from delivery.

Overclockers gave no support and refused to replace the item or issue an RMA. They claimed I should have notified them within 7 days... rubbish for a component seller!

    Ordered computer arrived on time.

Computer would not install OS and froze up.

I called customer service which didn't help and put phone down on me.

Called back spoke to someone else who talked me through removing cables and various restarts then told its a hard drive issue, and We'll send you one so YOU can fix it!

when informed I didn't know how to do this Customer service became arrogant and obnoxious with me.

They Refused to send out the exact same system as stright swap and said th ...

Ordered card when there were a number in stock, was allocated card, customer representative confirmed that card was in stock and was allocated to me, confirmed shipping date.

Wrote to query a few days later and was told that it was not in stock, and that I had not been allocated one, not only that but they would not get one for weeks. In the meantime I had ordered all the rest of pieces for my PC!

So basically if they say they have an item, they may actually be giving it to one of their more f ...

3 of us built new pc's, all hardware from overclockers.( around 2.5k total spent). All 3 had faulty Corsair Dominator ram, what's the odds of that happening?
Very suspicious. I am now doubtful as to the 'newness' of any of the items we recieved.

In my case refund quickly given without even letting me know they found a fault, no replacement offered, to replace it would cost me twice the original price. From £65 originally to £120ish to replace, in under 2 months, reason given, 'ram ...

I bought all the components for a new PC from Overclockers - CPU, motherboard, memory, graphics card etc... I'm an experienced PC Builder and have built and repaired computers for many years. I put the system together and discovered that the motherboard was dead. I phoned them up to arrange an exchange and the support guy informed me that they only exchange components once they have been tested and that this could take over a week, I needed to finish this project urgently so after some discussio ...

I purchased a graphics card from overclockers initially everything delivered on time and prompt. About 4 months down the line had a reaccuring fault being new to system building wasnt sure of what it was, I did think it was windows drivers corrupting. I decided to send graphic card back as it was in its 12 month gurrantee it was a proven manufacturing fault however they sent me a replacement which was inferior I tried to argue my point and that I should have got store credit but because the card ...

Bought a GTX 285 from them recently, got it home to find it was not new (it had been opened) driver disk missing, power lead missing, phoned the shop to be told to return it for an RMA.

Takes it to the shop and am told I have to wait 5 to 7 days whilst its "tested" - there was nothing wrong with the card just parts missing! - so I simply told them where to go and took my card back with me.

The card works, fair enough. I've lost a few quid buying a new power lead.

    They have lost a customer.

    I ...

Overclockers.co.uk is by far the worst company i have ever bought hardware from. Their customer service is incredibly lacking and their replacement policy is an utter joke.

Their support line is always heavily queued with wait times in excess of 30-60 minutes and actual support time lasts about 5 minutes at most, with the same rhetoric every time which leaves you feeling helpless and back to square one.

I would not recommend OCUK to anyone.

DO NOT USE. Dreadful service. I ordered an expensive new graphics card and they sent me a dirty used model. The heatsink fan on it was filthy with dust and the card had obviously well used. To top it all, there was a note inside the box from the previous owner asking for a refund!

I have ordered many items from overclockers and am stunned by the negative comments. Anything I have ordered has invariably arrived on time and as described

Ordered a new machine from them, received within expected delivery times.

The item itself had a faulty graphics card. However, the fault was beyond normal faults in that the card would not even power on (no fans spinning up, nothing) meaning it had been damaged when the system was built (as the card had no physical marks of damage).

Called to arrange a replacement. Was first informed that I must have broken it (despite receiving it as a pre-built machine from them) and that I shouldn't have o ...

Purchased a so called new Sapphire Radeon 4870 from Overclockers. It turned up in a tatty box, in clearly opened and used condition. It took 3 weeks of non-stop hassle to get a replacement, and afterwards I found out they had debited £20 from my credit card without my permission. This took another few weeks and threats of legal action to recover.

Best to avoid these unprofessional and dishonnest cowboys.

I have used overclockers.co.uk for many years now, I had some problems in the past but mostly it was with Citylink not delivering on time and not OCuk's fault. Recently they've changed to using DPD parcel delivery and subsequently seem to have resumed their excellent service.

I have recently placed several orders with them, totalling about £800 worth of equipment, all of which have been dispatched and delivered very promptly.

OCuk really has the best range of performance parts at reason ...

My experience with Overclockers has been very bad and stressful. I have lost over £160 purchase and postage money because of an excuse they seem to use over and over again, and I will never ever use them again. I now face the hassle of small claims If I am to try to get it back. My story: I ordered a motherboard from them. The first motherboard they sent me was faulty, and they replaced it with a board, but this one arrived damaged (Slightly bent front panel pins but no damage to the pack ...

My experience with Overclockers has been dire. I will never ever use them again.
I ordered a motherboard from them. The first motherboard they sent me was faulty, and they replaced it with a board which arrived damaged (Slightly bent front panel pins) but no damage to packaging. I informed them of this immediately and they told me to send it back which I did. When they received it they then informed me that the processor pins were damaged and they would not replace it. I most certainly did not ...

I have used Overclockers a number of times. In the future, I will not use them again. I am continuously let down with delivery promises and the customer service department are hopeless. The prices are always reasonable, which attracts people to the site, but this is worthless if you can't get the goods. The site is also ok, but yet again worthless if you can't get the goods or support.

I personally would prefer to pay more in future and know that I will firstly receive the product when req ...

Overclockers UK is my first choice for PC components, has been for many years.
When you spend resonable amounts of money on equipment you want to know that it will be packaged securely and arrive on time. This has been my experience of OcUK since the first time I used them.
Next day has always been next day and with free shipping to loyal forum members it always works out cheaper, especially for those little items where the cost of postage is sometimes similar to cost of the goods your buying. ...
