“I'm not a pro, but I have owned and used this camera...”

I'm not a pro, but I have owned and used this camera since 2003. With at least 300 rolls under its belt, this camera has performed outstandingly. Metering and shutter speeds remain dead on. For the price, I am buying a second F80 body... and this is Dec 2009! Another thing I must stress is the body's toughness. Without a metal chassis or gaskets, this camera has been used in the mid Himalayas, high Andes, Peruvian desert, in the midst of a typhoon in Korea, -32C snow storms in the Canadian… Read Full Review

This Nikon F80 is an excellent camera at an affordable price... Good examples on the secondhand market as they are robust cameras that are usually owned by people that love and care for them.

If you see one come-up and you're even half-interested then grab it... you won't regret it!… Read Full Review

For those who dream of a Nikon F100 but are unable to afford the price tag, the F80 is the next best thing. Having many features of its higher priced brother, the F80 performs over and beyond. The model is probably considered to be the top of the amateur ladder, going anything higher such as F100 or F5 would be considered professional category, with the price point to match.

The F80 design is non-cluttered, having only the wheel on the left side which selects auto mode, aperture priority… Read Full Review

This Nikon F80 35mm SLR Camera is packed with featurs and easy to handle once you get to grip with it. Has built in grid scren, ideal for getting straight lines. 10 segment martrex metering auto focus can be used in flex program, fully manual, apature priority or set your own speed, film transport upto 3 fps or single.good back up camera for a Nikon F100/F5 probably get used more than the heavier F100/F5.
overall a good reliable camera that wont let you down… Read Full Review
