    Good Points: Small clamshell design
Colour screen inside - text outside shows time and date
    Downloadable polyphonic ringtones
Can't assign tones to a caller

Bad Points: No data cable readily available so you have to buy ringtones

General comments: I bought my first Sendo M550 shortly after they were released in 2003. It cost £99 at the time but I wanted a clamshell with a colour screen to replace my Nokia 3310. I was very pleased with the reliability and sound quality of the handset. So much so that my 2 sisters, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, father and mother eventually bought them too. By Christmas 2005 I bought a brand new M550 from Woolworth for £30 for my husband so the price had really dropped. I found the menus just as easy to use as the Nokia but the one thing I did miss was the ability to assign a specific tune to a caller. I replaced my own M550 with a Motorola V220 but took it back under the 30 day warranty (Virgin) as I preferred the M550. I only replaced it when I went on contract and bought a Samsung E720 with MP3, camera and Bluetooth. My son then had the M550 up until I replaced the Samsung this year (he had the Samsung and I sold the M550 on ebay - it was still in perfect working order!) The hinge on one of the M550's did break but I think this was only because it was forced back by my younger son when he was playing the games.

I had the Sendo M550 last year and I thought it was quite cute but after the first month I started have problems with it, it started freezing all the time which really annoyed me, especially when I was sending messages. The texting is so slow and takes forever.

The ringtones on the Sendo M550 are good if you download them via the internet which is also very good. The games are good. However you cannot download wallpapers -v.annoying.
The volume is too quiet for me and vibrate is the only thing that alerts me to a call most of the time.
There are no reminders section only an alarm which is far too quiet. It has never once woken me up.
I liked this phone at first but now I'm learning about the bad points, I'm fed up and I want a new phone! A better ch ...

The Sendo M550 is an excellent phone it is easy to use and easy to work out when you first get it the battery lasts forever and the screen quality is good. I also enjoy 10 pin bowling.
Ring tones are good but are not well known and hard to download new ones it would also be good if it had a cover to accessorise it.

The Sendo M550 is an excellent mobile for the younger operator as it will withstand a fair amount of punishment. No camera, so just a basic all round phone that is easy to learn and operate. Operating screen is bright and clear but the external screen on the lid is a bit dull and difficult to see in bright light, waste of time. The cover lid screen has been marked by the centre four keys but if caught early a small rubber pad to keep the spacing correct cures this. After much misuse the spring t ...

I love my Sendo M550 and the downloadable tones {cbfmobile.com} are great fun, even my 13 year old son is envious. That doesn't happen very often!! I would recommend this to anyone who likes an easy to use mobile that looks good.

Sendo M550 - Not good at picking up a signal and I work in a building with a very large ariel on top.

    Would not recommend.

On the whole the Sendo M550 is a very good phone which slips into your pocket or bag very easily. I received mine yesterday from Virgin, which cost only £39.99.

The Sendo M550 is an excellent little phone, it's not one of the most advanced phones on the market today, but it's very easy to understand and use, it has a clamshell design which makes it impossible to accidentally press the buttons while it's in your pocket, on ordinary phones, 999 can still be dialled even when the keypad is locked, this phone makes that impossible to do, it was excellent value as well at £69.99 on O2 pay as you go, I highly recommend this little phone to anyone who is ...

The Sendo M550 mobile phone looks great and a great price. Those who saw it were impressed by its look and size. The games kept me busy (for a while). However, the alarm length and volume is not sufficient. The phone does not allow you to download polyphonic ringtones. The most irrittaing thing about the Sendo M550 is the software problems. The phone cuts out and re-starts during certain functions. Personnally given the choice again I would not opt for this phone.

I just got a Sendo M550 mobile phone yesterday - for the money (i paid £80) you cannot do better. It's not laiden with features but this is a cool looking phone with great display, ringtones and is easy to use. Ideal if you don't want a camera phone.
