Good Points: Stylish; Good Display (except outdoors); Nicely Spaced Buttons; Good Camera; Good Battery Life.

Bad Points: Bad Reception; Pointless, Ugly Antenna; No Bluetooth; Annoying Call Disconnections; Poor Load Times; Bad Text Messaging; No Proper Silent Mode; Annoying Camera Noise; Very Bad Phone-to-PC linking.

General comments: I really had high hopes for this phone. The way Samsung had been showing the ad for the X600 you would have thought they would have sold millions. But it seems that is not the case, because it seems next to impossible to find accessories, spares and other equipment for this phone. I would have given it a nine for style if it weren't for the antenna that does nothing but spoil the aesthetics and jab you in the leg when you walk.
The camera is good; not as sharp as the Nokia 6600, but better colour. The fact that you couldn't turn the camera sound off was also annoying.
This phone lacked a proper Silent Mode, the Quiet Mode resets when you start up (I don't know if this is just this case with my phone or if this is the case with all of them) meaning instead of using this function it was better to switch off all the sounds on the phone manually - an especially annoying task.
I really wanted to like this phone. Maybe I'm just being picky, but I found that this was really quite a half-hearted job, it was more like a "style-toy that you could make calls with" than a "practical cellphone which looks stylish". The call disconnections were also annoying, my experience with Nokia phones in the past is that when you get bad signal the call "hung in there" and allowed you time to move to a better signal location. Not the case with the Samsung X-600, it cuts when the signal goes lower than two bars! Especially annoying and expensive.
Otherwise a pleasant phone. If you have that extra bit of cash it's worth it to go for the D-500 (from what I've seen a marvelous phone - Samsung got it right with that one) or even the E700, but if I were you I would steer clear of this one.

The Samsung SGH X600 fone is da bomb, I've had it for about 6 weeks, and I'm still learning new stuff about it. The camera is wicked and has a light, the light makes it look pretty spekky. Other people have said the camera looks bad, but it looks wicked. With the rotating camera and the cool rounded corners.

Whats wrong with the Samsung people? Cant they change the software? If you have experience with the earliest Samsungs in the market ,you wouldn't have any problems using this one, because all of them samsungs are exactly alike and that kind of makes you think you are not going along with technology.

Dont try messaging alot with the Samsung X600 mobile phone. You need to type a number in your text? Better type it in letters than go back into the menu one step and switch to number mode , type ...

I decided it would not be a good idea to get low range phone as it would unfortunatly not last me more than year. It was suggested that it would be much better to go on pay monthly because I could get a decent phone which would last me ages on value tariff. So I went to find a phone from free to £50. That's when I came across the Samsung X600 on a £15 02 tariff for free on special offer till the end of March. So of course, with my birthday coming up my mum decided to get it for me. ...

The Samsung X600 mobile phone has a better camera than my mates Nokia 6220, but then again the Nokia camera won't go to that resolution anyway. No video clips.

The "flash" is really just a torch - it doesn't flash but it does help with close up pics in the dark (and it has pose value lol). Not used Night Mode much (it works pretty well without it, or by using the flash), but I think that you need quite a steady hand...
You can change the "brightness" of the pic you want to capture by pressin ...

The Samsung X600 is pretty much a mixed bag -- good value for the multimedia conscious -- especiallt the camera and the flash, but it is ugly and the reception could be a lot better.
