Thanks for the tips shared in your blog. One more thing I would like to erspexs is that weight loss is not supposed to be about going on a fad diet and trying to get rid of as much weight as possible in a set period of time. The most effective way in losing weight is by using it bit by bit and following some basic ideas which can allow you to make the most through your attempt to shed weight. You may learn and be following a few of these tips, nonetheless reinforcing understanding never affects… Read Full Review

“Great car”

Written on: 30/06/2012

I have a 1993 citroen ax edition Lightlife standard, have had this car for seven years, payed £400.00 pounds, yet again the car has past its mot, i only do basic servicing on the car which is a 954 cc, and run it, the only car that the daughter can get insurance for, bodywork has some scratches but its only to get about in, the only problem soon will be tyre size, i stick to the same size 145 70 13, these are getting a bit expensive if you go for good brand. Fantastic car, great on fuel and… Read Full Review

Written on: 07/04/2006 by Matt1986 (4 reviews written)

I had the Citroen AX for one year, and I only enjoyed it on wet corners when I could get the back end round, other than that it was awful. It broke down on me 8 (eight, not a typo) times in one year. This included; one engine, one cylinder head (on replacement engine) one alternator, one complete electircal failure, petrol pump, two clutch cables and a random over heating once.
Every journey was spent wandering how close to my destination I would be when it broke and how serious it would be… Read Full Review

After selling my 306 i decided to go without a car while at uni. Turned out i just couldn't and after my mate recommended his a Citreon AX GT, i decided to go for just the standard ax. What a great cheap runaround!! Not a single fault with the car sailed through its mot and with 11 months left on this one if it blew up tomorrow i still couldnt complain..infact i'd just buy another one… Read Full Review

I love my little Citroen AX. It was an excellent buy, and it has given me 14k miles of trouble-free motoring.

It is nippy enough with only the driver, although a bit sluggish with 5 on board, but not too bad for under 1 litre.

The boot is nice and big for a small car. I am in a band and have often fitted a guitar amp, guitars, and several drums in there!

I have found a few water leaks though. One through the aerial via the internal light, and one inside the door panel. On wet mornings my… Read Full Review

This Citroen AX 10 954 city car was a present from my grandfather. I'm still a learner driver though but i get lots of lessons in it. I love the car but it's not a driver's car. It's more a shopping trolley cum town runabout. I wish it was the 1.4 GT! I look after it really well and keep it looking good as it's in remarkable condition for it's age. It only has 45 thousand miles on the clock!… Read Full Review

Written on: 25/05/2004 by ben peaslake (1 review written)

I like my Citroen AX 10 954 a lot. Ok, so it doesn't accelerate too well, but i've got 95 out of it and its always good fun to thrash round the country lanes. Its a 1991 (H) model, with a nasty maroon paintjob and its done 54000 miles. Its very comfy, if a little wallowy in corners, and the single-spoke steering wheel doesn't invite much confidence! but its a technically very sound car that starts when you want it to, and goes where you want it to… Read Full Review

Written on: 12/04/2004 by imc (1 review written)

well, what can I say, the Citroen AX 10 954cc has done more miles in the air than on the ground, READ = it doesnt like cross winds! when you can get it to stay on the ground its usually on 2 wheels round corners as it likes to lean. thats only at 25mph. A word of warning DO NOT HIT KURBS. I did (accidentlly) and I thought my tracking was out but in actual fact the driveshaft had bent and my wheel was facing the wrong way!… Read Full Review

I find it hard to believe you hate your AX so much, mine is fantastic! Okay, take the point of it feeling slightly on two wheels when taking corners, but slow down a bit and it's fine. Mine is a J-reg, 1992, starts perfectly every time, if you have a manual choke take it out halfway and rev a little as you try to start, it's occasionally a bit temperamental in very cold damp weather, but who isn't?! Can't comment on the exact time of 0-60 since I've never tried but my car is always first away at traffic lights and generally very nippy.
In general, I wouldn't say my car was totally perfect, but taking into consideration the age and number of miles on the clock, I think it's doing remarkably well.
Oh, and the point about the kerbs? Don't be daft enough to hit them in the first place!

Dave Ellis's Response to imc's Review

I really can't see your point about the 954cc AX being THAT slow. I spent the last year or so driving one of the legendary GT models, and it was absolutely brilliant fun. However, being an F reg, and having had a difficult life from previous owners before it got into my little boy racer hands, I spent most of my life underneath it, until about a month ago it finally let go and I couldnt be bothered any more. At this point my grandad decided he was giving up driving, and knowing about my car troubles gave me his L reg AX Debut, which had 23,000 miles on the clock (yes, really, he'd owned it from new and had it serviced every year). I was not looking forward to being laughed at by my mates as they all disappeared into the distance in their sporty 1.4s, but to this day the baby citroen amazes me with just how nippy it is, and how hard they have to try to beat me.
Oh, and when you say it feels like there's two wheels off the ground round tight corners, there probably is, I regularly have mates tell me that as they were following round tight corners both the wheels on one side of the car have lifted off the ground, and then made a nice puff of smoke when they landed again.
So the AX 954 aint as much fun as the GT, but it aint half bad for a 954.

Maybe if you drove properly you would enjoy your AX a bit more. Mine is an M reg 954cc, it is a bit light in the crosswinds but it still holds the road well, I regularly do a 500 mile round trip in mine with no problems.

Dont go for a Citroen AX, go for a Japanise car as they tend to go on forever. It will not start most of the time. Shafts went at 39000, alternator went after 55000. When you have got 1 or more people in the car the car, it does not want to move. Dont try 5 people!… Read Full Review
