Good Points: Great fuel consumption for a petrol engine. Very cheap to insure. Very cheap new parts always available and easy to find.
Bad Points: No real 'Bad' points on this car apart from the noise and vibration the engine makes when idling and it does have a knack of occasionally not starting in the very cold mornings (-2 temp) and spluttering until warm.
General comments: Superb little cars, will take you from England to Scotland on one tank of fuel and can get up to 90mph when required. A reliable, cost effective way to travel would recommend this car to learners and experienced drivers alike.

Great little car, fuel consumption is great and as it was my first, car insurance was a lot cheaper. Had for 13 months now, no breakdowns, nothing needed on MOT, for a first car or run about, its brilliant.

My Citroen AX is great. I like everything on that car and would never say anything bad about it. Mine was build in 1995 and I've had for about 12 months. It's just a great little car, no bad points for me.

The Citroen AX does good milage on fuel worth £30, costs me £120 a year on insurance. I wouldn't part with it, if it breaks down will just buy another one! I've got 18k miles in 18 months without a fuss. mmmmm..

I had the Citroen AX for one year, and I only enjoyed it on wet corners when I could get the back end round, other than that it was awful. It broke down on me 8 (eight, not a typo) times in one year. This included; one engine, one cylinder head (on replacement engine) one alternator, one complete electircal failure, petrol pump, two clutch cables and a random over heating once.
Every journey was spent wandering how close to my destination I would be when it broke and how serious it would be, n ...

After selling my 306 i decided to go without a car while at uni. Turned out i just couldn't and after my mate recommended his a Citreon AX GT, i decided to go for just the standard ax. What a great cheap runaround!! Not a single fault with the car sailed through its mot and with 11 months left on this one if it blew up tomorrow i still couldnt complain..infact i'd just buy another one.

I love my little Citroen AX. It was an excellent buy, and it has given me 14k miles of trouble-free motoring.
It is nippy enough with only the driver, although a bit sluggish with 5 on board, but not too bad for under 1 litre.
The boot is nice and big for a small car. I am in a band and have often fitted a guitar amp, guitars, and several drums in there!
I have found a few water leaks though. One through the aerial via the internal light, and one inside the door panel. On wet mornings m ...

M-Reg Citroen AX City Car,
The car is so cheap to run, £30 of petrol at todays prices will do 400 miles without any problems. It starts first time every time and maintenance is easy. The interior is comfortable and the boot is a good size, massive with the seats down!

This Citroen AX 10 954 city car was a present from my grandfather. I'm still a learner driver though but i get lots of lessons in it. I love the car but it's not a driver's car. It's more a shopping trolley cum town runabout. I wish it was the 1.4 GT! I look after it really well and keep it looking good as it's in remarkable condition for it's age. It only has 45 thousand miles on the clock!

I like my Citroen AX 10 954 a lot. Ok, so it doesn't accelerate too well, but i've got 95 out of it and its always good fun to thrash round the country lanes. Its a 1991 (H) model, with a nasty maroon paintjob and its done 54000 miles. Its very comfy, if a little wallowy in corners, and the single-spoke steering wheel doesn't invite much confidence! but its a technically very sound car that starts when you want it to, and goes where you want it to.

well, what can I say, the Citroen AX 10 954cc has done more miles in the air than on the ground, READ = it doesnt like cross winds! when you can get it to stay on the ground its usually on 2 wheels round corners as it likes to lean. thats only at 25mph. A word of warning DO NOT HIT KURBS. I did (accidentlly) and I thought my tracking was out but in actual fact the driveshaft had bent and my wheel was facing the wrong way!

Dont go for a Citroen AX, go for a Japanise car as they tend to go on forever. It will not start most of the time. Shafts went at 39000, alternator went after 55000. When you have got 1 or more people in the car the car, it does not want to move. Dont try 5 people!
