Had no problems receiving the loan and got a good rate but had no end of them since repaying the early settlement figure over two months ago. My bank confirmed the payment was made and identified the account number it went to, which was the right one, but the AA Loans still can't seem to find it. I would't mind but it was for a very specific amount, on a specific day, at a specific time. If you can get a similar rate or even to within 0.1 or 0.2%, go with the other loan provider. The AA Loans customer service is rank. The staff seem to want to do as little as possible and, if you want any resolution to your problems, you'll need to do all the work yourself, and then some.

Exactly the same case here...can afford the loan EASILY and I have an excellent credit report but was refused instantly on the AA loans website. Not sure if they are going for people who can only afford minimum repayments or something but now I have to wait 6 months before applying for a new loan :(

Applied today. Credit score 999 with Experian (checked this morning). 17 years with same bank, 12 years in same job and 7 years at the same address. Refused the loan??

I really cannot understand how I could be refused. Given address to contact Underwriters for a reason. This will be interesting.

Work in Automotive industry, which I believe may be the reason for the decision.

I phoned to apply for a loan from the AA yesterday, after a credit check I was refused. But I have excellent credit rating and have actually been obsessed with keeping a good credit rating since I was 18 (25 years) -- I even have online accounts with Experian and Equifax where I can check my credit rating and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. The only problem I can think is that I have paid a few loans off early but this should not affect my rating?I think the AA are just preten ...

Refused point blank by the AA Loans website instantly. I have had many agreements in the past with no issues. I CAN afford the loan, i earn 24k and i wanted to borrow 7 over 5 years. Avoid them, its a needless footprint on your credit score.

Freephone telephone service was excellent, with instant decision and probably quicker than doing it online. They will push their Payment Protection Insurance, but that is to be expected. Their recorded intro does say other providers are available', so they are not breaking the law.
Rate is competitive for AA members. Quoted £55 for courier delivery of cheque. I have not accepted the loan yet.

Firstly I work in the financial industry. I am in full time employment, my address is 'clean' my credit score (and file) is excellent. I have no other debt other than a loan at 8.4% APR with AA. Called to increase by a small amount (to repay a bond investment) was quoted a rate of 7.7% APR. After the application they offer me a rate of 10.7% APR!! There is no reason for such an increase. Trust me I know. Avoid AA loans at all costs 'footprints' on your credit file are not good.

As mentioned in my good points, the customer service is excellent. If you want to call them, you don't have to hang around on hold, I got through within seconds on the 3 occasions I called.I paid a little extra for the courier service but it was worth it as I had my cheque the next day.Highly recommended in these early stages.

I got a loan two years ago with them, and I had a 3 month deferred payment. A decision was made on the web site within minutes. I called them. The courier arrived the next day with the documents. I signed the agreement, job done.

I consolidated again this year, and AA Loans were happy to do so. Easy and helpful call centre.

We have all seen the annoying Bev, Kev adverts on TV but I guessed they worked on me. I went onto the AA Loan website where they gave me an almost instant decision. I needed the loan to finish building an extension onto my kitchen and I received the funds into my account within 48 Hours - there was a small charge for this but it is a welcome option.

The APR was low - they offered me 6.2% at the time of taking the loan and I couldn't be happier - if you use the loan to buy a car they were al ...
