    Good Points: Straight talking, allow you to get up to 90% remortgage. They look at what you can borrow according to affordability meaning that you can get a mortgage on an average salary.


    Bad Points: Only two mortgages available at the moment - 1 x fixed rate for two years, 1 x variable.


    General comments: Direct Line have never refused me a mortagage, and I have feel have had the best rates available at the time through going with them. Because you are dealing directly with them they don't push additional services to you or insurances.

    Direct Line offered the best mortgage rate, and it will save me over £425 over the 2 years against other tracker or discount mortgages. It worked out to be 4.19% when the BE rate is 4.5%
