Good Points: Superb in all respects

    Bad Points: spares

General comments: I have owned my 75 connoiseur s,e, since 2002, in my view it is the poor man's RR! It is difficult to fault other than it drinks rather more about town than I would like.
The major fault was, trying to get it serviced via the Main Agents.
One occasion my car was off the road for 6 weeks trying to find thespare part. A friend told me to advertise on GOOGLE! I had offers from a variety of sources and all at the designated price.
Main Agents work only with the Dealer Network. The moment one steps outside of that system efficiency takes a hand.
I do not wish to part with my 75 it had every conceivable extra built in at Rovers. It is the best car I have owned out of 18 from new!
As a claim free octogenarian with 60 years experience of driving here and on the Continent my only problem is getting good insurance cover at a price I would pay if I were only 40 years old!

A fantastic motor, that has good road holding, excellent breaking ability, comfort driving controls, excellent handing and a pure pleasure machine to drive a speed on some of Europes finest roads.

I can only hope that we do not see the end of Rover/MG and the the new owners will start to manufacture the same quality of motor all over again.

The Rover 75 Connoisseur 2.5 l looks beautiful, it is a wonderful ride/drive, but if you are a passenger - oh boy! The passenger seat moves backwards and forwards, no tilt, no lumbar support, highly uncomfortable on long journeys. The rear seats are shaped so that you are nearly curved when seated, again very uncomfortable, and due to the shape of the car inside, if you are above 5 feet 10 inches tall, the rear window blinds hit you on the head when operated!
The CD changer/Sat/Nav system takes ...
