Good Points: Gee, I ordered 3 items and all were good. Exactly as described. The prices on BIDZ are the lowest you can get. Use 10% of appraisal rule of thumb...just like all other jewelry stores.
Bad Points: Must sign for item, they will not slip in door.
General comments: As far as I am aware, these guys have sold over $1 BILLION worth of jewelry,
Site is lots of fun and the best place to buy jewelry.
Not sure, but I think that these other reviews must buy an item for $9 or so and expect to get a rare jewel. PLEASE if you spend $9, you will get $9 worth. BIDZ is an adrelin rush!

Regretfully, I bought a number of jewelry items from Bidz.com over a one-month period, and here is what I received in return: one shipment missing four out of sixteen items, one shipment missing two out of six items, as far as I am concerned my Visa card was duplicate charged on two separate occasions to the tune of around $5,000, and I was shipped a brooch with a stone obviously missing, which Bidz as far as I am aware will not yet exchange or repair. I buy only silver items.
They seem to be alright, but not great, there is nothing wrong with the website, easy to use and fast delivery but some of the products on their are in my opinion of poor quality and until it bucks up I do not recommend Bidz.com.

I waited almost 2 months for my "$110 Esprit Sunglasses" to arrive , when they did they came in a vinyl case not leather as I was aware was stated, they were broke in several places. I do not recommend Bidz.com.

My experience was extremely unfavorable. The ring I received was far from the image on bidz.com.The ring I received was significantly different. I returned the ring for a refund as stated on bidz.com; however they gave me a 60% refund. They claimed that the ring was exactly as described, even though I sent them the enhanced image with the return.

My packages did not inculde the items I was to receive according to computer invoice and there envelope invoice.
As of yet I have not received what I had ordered - I think it's impossible to do inventorty or check-up... I would recommend to never buy the earrings. I personally was not happy with the workmanship.
I feel I wont be able to give as a gift or sell. In my opinion the workmanship of the tiny diamond baguettes all run into each other, and off center.

Bidz.com could be good, but I feel it isn't bothering. They show pictures and describe nice things on their site. What buyers receive (when it finally arrives, if ever) is another story altogether. They send out the most chintzy, shoddy, broken-down goods imaginable. When buyers make returns for refunds, they are told that the goods were "as described, in good condition." Thus, Bidz.com charges an additional 15% restocking fee, and they keep the originally charged transaction fee, handling ...

Sign up at and complete the Bidz offer. If you do the referral system then you only need to buy one thing, no matter how cheap, (use free shipping time) from Bidz.com and then you are done. Don't purchase any more than 2 item from Bidz at a time, because if they get lost you're not too much out of pocket like I was. This company will NOT make an effort to communicate with you once they have taken your money.

Bidz.com prices may be good sometimes, but shipping and customer service is very poor. A good example is that after you pay for an item, it can easily take almost 2 weeks to receive it.
Their shipping charges are very high, almost double what the actual cost is plus there is a 3% transaction fee for everything won. They use compare prices that are highly inflated. My shopping experience at Bidz.com was horrible!!!! I have a feedback rating over 300 at eBay, thought I would try bidz. Found something I liked, pearl necklace, described as 14k gold and pearls.
