Purchased items from this site since 2007. Items are 100% Authentic from my experience. Some of the cheaper jewellery (ex. silver with CZ crystals) appear way nicer on the site than when it arrives. But the brand name items like Gucci (bought 2 watches from site), are to what you expect when you purchase a Gucci Watch. 100% authentic. Fake stone for over 4K they sold with a description and certificate as a "genuine"! We got a sapphire from auction and paid for price over 4K went to gemologist and it turn out synthetic!!! I ordered some jewelry from bidz.com. One of the items was a ring, that was meant to come in 14K Gold, diamonds and a precious center stone. Instead of the precious stone, there was a simple plastic inlay, obviously not a precious stone. I bought a pair of diamond earings off of bidzs for $500, they did have a flaw in one of the earings,a blkack spot.. I took it too a jewlery shop and they told me for bigger diamonds that was common and appraised them at $1200.00, not the deal excpected but still pretty good. We haven't used Bidz for a while, as my sister purchased some rings that never arrived, and they would not refund her money. Pretty disappointing, as we were loyal customers.
We get all of our stuff appraised. It was a bit hit and miss, but we got the jewellery for a really good price, so the valuations always came out higher. Mum purchased a ring, and a couple of the little diamonds around the amethyst were actually not real diamands, like they were advertised. They were cubic zirc's. I think the key is to pay way less than their RRP (or whatever they call it, these days).
It used to be heaps cheaper than what it is now.

I've been purchasing from both Bidz.com and their sister site, Buyz.com for over 10 yrs. I've had absolutely NO PROBLEMS with either site, being very happy with all my items bought from them. They have great customer service and are quick to ship.

As most "retail" valuations, bidz will list a highly inflated cost. Just like the cruise brochure rates or what a dealer will list a car's valuation at - a smart buyer would never take this figure seriously.

I stumbled across Bidz.com around 6 Months ago whilst looking for on-line wholesale jewellers to start up an E-Bay business. I bought a pink diamond ring that was enhanced to a pink color with "everlasting color techniques", only to find out a year later when the stone was re-set that it was a very light gray-yellow stone under a non-jewelry grade pink coating. I've been reading numerous reviews about Bidz.com that dramatically conflict with my own experiences. I have purchased hundreds of items from the site and have always been satisfied. In particular their "lower end" (silver, disney, lauren G adams, and charles winston jewelery is great but you can't go by the picture...you need to read the description. Diamonds with J-K color will not be even close to perfect. Read how thick a chain is rather than assume a thickness...check you pendant... (read more)

Ive brought a few items from bidz.com and have been really happy with the jewellery, i have given some as gifts, kept some for myself and managed to sell a few of them off aswell online. I cant speak for all the jewellery, but each piece i have purchased has been of pretty high quality & has been well recieved by my customers & those who i gave to. Be careful if you use this company. I bought earrings, then bid for a watch the same day. Earring transaction by paypal was fine but they then said the watch could not be dealth with via paypal and asked for c/c. Gave these detals and was then asked for copy by fax of d/licence or passport. Was not happy so emailed to ask why. They would not reply and subsequently closed my a/c. Earrings recd. The prices Bidz.com how for MSRP are not realistic. Those prices would be for the highest quality product, and their items are really low quality. I just bought an opal bracelet and opal earrings and they have virtually no fire in them. They just look like white stones. Some are set cockeyed too. Really costumes jewelery. The jewellery I purchased was delivered within 1 week and was very nice. I compared the jewellery to local jewellery "chain" stores and their prices were much higher. The pieces were individually wrapped and secure.
I purchased the items for person and gift purposes with no intention to resell them. So overall... I was satisfied and well recommend bidz.com.

Bought numerous items over the last couple of years of Bidz.com and got exactly what I've paid for. I can spend £100 on several items of decent jewelery which would cost at least three times the amount in a high street shop. Okay the workmanship is not top notch but the items I've purchased have been good enough. Just received a concord saratoga watch from them. It never ceases to amaze me how some discount consumers express anger with the poor quality of their purchases. Furthermore, doing so in the ratings/feedback/and/or review sections and basing scores upon such! I'm a bargain-hound myself, and have no expectations beyond the parameters of reality. I disagree with this review because I did due diligence and they assured me that the opals would have good fire in them. In fact, the opal were pure white milk with virtually no fire. The price I paid was not very far off of what better appearing opals were being sold for on eBay.<br/>Finally, they cheat you on postage and restocking fees, so when they sell you junk and you don't want it, it costs you plenty to return it. They still make a profit and you are left with a bill and disappointment. Don't criticize people who are cheated by this bad company. If you notice the spelling and grammar or those who like the company, you will notice their intelligence is suspect.

I come from Canada and get my shipment within 2-3 weeks. The Products are never damaged and well packaged. The regular diamond items poor so thought I would buy branded diamond items finding that stones are missing in these items think the branded items on bidz and there other site buyz are seconds.

Since writing my review, as far as I am aware Bidz.com has canceled my account without completing their "investigation" on the six missing items that I paid for. Thank heavens that the folks at Visa stood behind me as a customer, and issued a credit to my account for the missing merchandise. Who knows when or if I would have received an actual refund for the approximately $2,000 of missing jewelry?
