Good Points: Good looking web site

Bad Points: They cannot do things right.
Very quick to take your money but never know when I get my money back......

General comments: DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
If you can save a few quids, use someone else reliable like Amazon, play.com etc

A few quids saving might cause you a lot of STRESS and phone call to Powerplay Direct might cost more than your saving!!

Great prices from Powerplay Direct and with free delivery my item arrived within 3 days so no complaints at all. Brilliant website.

I ordered a Wii game from Powerplay Directover a year ago (No more heroes) 2 days after it was released, they took my money and said it was posted but it never arrived, theres no phone number, and dozen of email remain ignored

After the other half dropping our laptop down the stairs, I claimed it on the house insurence and they appointed me to Powerplay Direct. Got in contact with me the same day and ended up replacing it with a laptop £200 extra vaule of what I orignally paid for the broken one.

I placed an order which they then cancelled. I paid by visa so money was taken out of my account immediately. I've had no refund and no replies to emails. There isn't phone number I can find so i have no way of getting in touch with them. Disgusting service, I do not recommend using this site. I will be taking legal advice on this issue.

Would not use this company again. Still haven't recieved any order which was placed on the 25th April. Money taken on the 28th april. No order still 16th may and I have no way of contacting them.

I ordered a game over a month ago from Powerplay Direct. The item never arrived and I was told that I had to wait 21 days before I ask for a refund or a replacement. 21 days later I ask for a refund, but what they did was to arrange for a replacement anyway and then cancel the order. So now it shows that the item has been canceled. No payment has been processed, this order is now closed. I have sent them emails about it, as there is no telephone number and of course they haven't replied back.

I would strongly urge anyone to think twice when ordering from Powerplay Direct. This was my experience:

I bought a pc game on a Tuesday.

They posted it the next Wednesday.

I still haven't received it yet.

Enough said.

I ordered a DVD from Powerplay Direct, and I received an email a few days later stating the DVD should arrive within 3 - 6 days. Now, over a week after I made my selection, I'm still without my order. I can't see how something can take over a week to arrive. They should change their item descriptions - 7 days handling/packing/processing 1 day delivery. Never had to wait so long, and I frequently purchase goods online.

I ordered 4 Copies of a PC Game Expansion due for release in January 2007. Pre-orders have always arrived a day earlier than release (so you have it guaranteed on release day), which is important to my kids apparently. I have never had a problem with Play.com or others. The game was not picked and shipped until the day after release, and then it's 3 - 6 days postage, and only after I chased Powerplay Direct for it, and was told "we'll check and call you back" ... What call back? Result - minimum ...

I have been using Powerplaydirect.com since May. First found them by chance as was looking for a CD that neither Play, CDWOW or even Amazon had. Powerplay not only had it, but it was cheap (8.99) and was delivered free.

Since then I have used them on a monthly basis and they seem to be getting better and better at the one thing that used to let them down - slow delivery. Recent orders have been getting to me in 3-4 days and some of their stuff has been at silly prices: I got Robbie's greate ...

I stumbled on powerplaydirect.com quite by accident last week while searching for Finding Nemo. They had it cheaper than anywhere else and had it in stock so I ordered a copy.

Their checkout process was very clear and quick, giving me the option to store my card details for future use (although I didn't!). I got an email telling me my item was reserved in stock, then literally a couple of hours later I got another email telling me my item was despatched. I've not experienced that before!

I've nearly always shopped at Play.com until a friend told me about Powerplaydirect.com. Their DVD prices are often better than Play's although they don't supply R1 titles. Found the checkout process really good and they even tell you if your product has been reserved. Delivery has been slow on a couple of occasions but thankfully unlike nearly every other site I've used they do answer my e-mails promptly. They also send a newsletter out with reviews and news....they're often really amusing!
