Good Points: lots of float fishing(waggler, stick) articles.

Bad Points: to many commercials, most are easily fished and anybody can catch on them no matter what method you use.

General comments: although i don't fish competitions i pick up lots of tips from Match Fishing and read all the articles on rivers and canals.
would like to see more on these locations and more back to basics stuff.
all the wayne swincoe articles have been very enjoyable.
would like more on the lesser known rivers and canals.

Could give some ideas about how to sort out the elderly anglers tackle, i.e., what to take with them when going to a match and what to set up and why not to sort out other things, mainly making up rods or poles or both or maybe three rods and a pole and how long it should take.

iIt would be a good thing to find out if many anglers actually carry one or many types of hook that sort of thing you could recommend either a selection or to commit to a smaller assortment .
Another idea would be sho ...

We the lowly amature small match angler would welcome more events sown here plus some top people visiting some of our waters - not the rivers but the lakes - and let us see how it should be done. Test some of the small anglers around the Hampshire / Dorset area, e.g., Hordle Lakes and Orchard Lakes where some good weights are bagged. Also not enough is paid to the elderly angler who started late in life and who hasn't got the know-how or finess. I speak mainly of myself who has trouble even arra ...

Match Fishing is easily the best match fishing magazine in the UK. There is a real cross section of stuff inside; including news, features, humour, diaries, and tackle reviews etc. Thankfully it's not just carp dominated, as the magazine also tackles rivers and canals too. The editor, Dave Harrell, is an International class angler, with a huge match fishing background, who commands a lot of respect. Since he took over, the magazine has got better and better.
