“Customer Care?”

this bank is the worst I have ever dealt with. They keep loosing documents, do not respond to email or phone calls as quickly as they should, and are completely and utterly unprofessional. They do not understand customer care and I must say, I find the whole experience of dealing with them incredibly frustrating. I hoped to see some improvements over the last couple of years, unfortunately this has not happened, and unless they take their customers seriously and invest in very much needed... (read more)

“Absolutely terrible service, treated me extremely...”

Absolutely terrible service, treated me extremely badly charges all over the place, £50 for just going overdrawn by 12 pence. Horrible customer services, the guy on the phone was very condescending and I had to get him to repeat things twice and he still was not clear on his answer to the question I was asking. While we can understand that their presence in England is a bit of a problem (one branch in all of England!), we found their customer service fairly good. We got an account from overseas (through NAB), when almost no one else would give us an account at all, and what's more, they did it for free, and fast. We had to call them from overseas twice (as the first woman in the call centre was just plain evil, the second was truly sweet)

I've been with CB for 35 years. They have lost the ability to respond to genuine customer concerns. The tellers just parrot the usual and the managers won't talk to you. Their new Mastercard Debit card doesn't work as no-one has heard of it. The ultimate in banking security: money goes in but won't come out! (read more)

“Terrible communications. Clydesdale Bank tried...”

Terrible communications. Clydesdale Bank tried selling me private banking services before they had even given me a mortage offer (and obviously before I have become a customer). This is actually breaking FSA regulations, as they actually cold-called me even though I am not yet an existing customer. Every time I ask someone to ring me back with information, I am left handing indefinately.
