Good Points: Covers cars from many eras and occasionally, covers the impractical oddball classic which is good for variety. Some very useful 'how to do it' articles and useful product or tool comparisons.
Bad Points: None really. Occasionally, the writers gloss over basics, leaving amateurs in the dark.
General comments: Practical Classics car magazine has over the years covered a wide variety of project cars, and really does try to help the genuine owner of an older car. The editorial team are real enthusiasts and have to struggle to keep their cars on the road, so it is easy to identify with them.
Naturally enough, for a UK based magazine, there are often products and services featured that are not available overseas, but that can be an advantage, especially with more and more internet usage enabling overseas enthusiasts to source much needed parts, products and information. .
It is a magazine for the real enthusiast and car user rather than the collector or investor. I constantly refer to old issues and that means it is a resource, not a magazine to read and then leave at the local doctor's waiting room, buried under five year old copies of Home and Garden or Hello.
