Good Points: It only takes 15 minutes of phone number crunching time to speak to a real person.
Bad Points: Poor in handling transfer to Morgan Stanley. Very poor in handling payment queries, Quick to charge interest where it is not due. Their 24/7 line advertised on their web site only operates within office hrs.
General comments: Taken 3 weeks and believe me a lot of hassle to sort out a payment that was made to the old Goldfish account instead of the new Morgan Stanley account and have put the onus on the cardholder to sort it out.
Their poor communication has left their internet paying cardholders with a real problem in retrieving any payments made to the old handling bank.

Goldfish credit card is very efficient, and no problems with customer care and service. Have found the points-reward scheme very useful. Overall, reliable service for many years.

Don't take out this costly and very poor card. Look elsewhere for a much better deal. Extremely poor customer service at Goldfish Credit Card.

Used to be a Financial Advisor and often recommended Goldfish for the points benefits when owned by British Gas but due to frequent change of ownership benefits are gradually being diluted. Have just tried to redeem points on my own card and cannot believe the length of time it has taken. Am seriously worried about pending takeover by Barclays. Expect any points benefits to be removed then

Transferred in from CSMA card run by Liverpool Victoria whose customer service was excellent. Unfortunately, this was not by choice. Now, after 6 months of Goldfish taking over my card, I've finally received my first statement. Still waiting for cards and PINs though .... :-(
Customer service is very poor with staff unable to understand their systems and transferring you from one department to another.

I have been a happy customer for many years, but recently have experienced bad service when trying to redeem points, the phone service is useless and they have not reply to written requests. Looking for another supplier.

Poor customer service. Cancelled card September then send bill in November for items they say they paid on standing order after card cancelled and supplier say not charged!

I have been with them for years and I pay promptly to avoid any charges. Last month I did not receive a statement but its not my primary card so thought nothing of it - this month I got a statement with a whopping £12 charge and total rudeness when I placed a call to them - even trying to give the card up means being put into a never ending queue. So much of treating customers fairly - where is the Financial Services Authority when you need them! They are complete and utter rubbish - sta ...

Customer service is the pits. They don't have enough staff to service the number of customers calling in, so it's expensive to hold in their call queue until someone can be bothered to answer the phone.

Goldfish was fine until taken over by Morgan Stanley and the first thing they did was block my card. I am £800 in credit but three months later after trying to get several new cards sent nothing has happened. I am trying to get my money back now, I don't want another card. If no luck today I am going to start complaints procedure.

I tend to pay off my Goldfish credit card in full every month, so I suppose I am more interested in bonuses than the charges.
I've have a £10 credit for usage and every few months collect vouchers for £30 or £40 to spend at George Henry Lees or Marks & Sparks.
I've not had any experiences with customer services worth reporting; all my enquiries have been dealt with satisfactorily.

I have been a customer for 10 years, but I have cut up both cards due to their general apathy and poor customer service.
Customer service is unaccommodating, inefficient and negative. Credit card on hold when plenty of credit left because on holiday over Christmas and payment was not on due date. Numerous phone calls and full payment, but Goldfish still would not release the credit card.

Goldfish Credit Card do not understand what customer service means. Goldfish are about to lose one of their loyal customers by not being empathetic - could send the letter recorded?
I sense that the integration of Goldfish into Morgan Stanley is not going well. I reckon that they have a backlog of problems. Big shame for the Goldfish Card.

The Goldfish Credit Card is generally good, but they let themselves down at times. I recently got married, and unlike Egg, Goldfish insist on me sending my original marriage certificate or a copy signed by a solicitor. I have been with them for over 10 years, and I now intend to leave. It is a great shame they could not make life simpler.

I applied for the Goldfish card with the interest free period to transfer a balance from another card (the card with no loyalty scheme). I had no problems applying for this card. Customer services have always answered straight away and been helpful when I have had any queries. They do try to sell many different products when talking to them, such as insurance etc., which increase the fees on your account, but they do take no for an answer. They are affiliated with Lloyds TSB, where I already h ...

I had a Goldfish credit card for about 3 years.
I finally decided to give up after about 6 months of waiting for a new card. I transferred the balance and thank goodness.
This card always had problems from day one. I remember standing for 5 - 20 minutes at a number of retailers while the system authorised payment. sometimes this happens to everyone, but I managed a 100% delay rate every time I used the card. Customer services were next to useless. They at least let you speak to a hum ...

I always pay my card off in full every month. I had recently even had some months when I ended up in credit! I forgot to pay one month, leaving a min payment of £10 outstanding. Goldfish stopped my card without notice. In the meantime I was 5 months pregnant and, totally unsuspecting, went on holiday. When I tried to pay the hotel my card was refused. I called Goldfish on my mobile and they refused to reinstate the card even though my past record was unblemished and I owed only £1 ...
