Good Points: Battery last a long time.

Bad Points: Cannot be used at all in fringe areas.

General comments: Samsung really stuffed up on this one. If I wish to make a call, it's necessary to borrow a phone from someone else. The only reason the battery lasts, is because the phone's in my drawer. At home. Turned off.

    Which sums up the review.

If they solved the 2 problems I am having and the voice dial methodology, the Samsung A540 would be a good mobile phone.
But after sending my phone in for service on the first 2 problems stated above with no change and being left with no service solution I would like to throw the phone away.

The Samsung A540 is a nice phone, a replacement for the t300 i used to have, with many the same features--the difficulty in retaining a charge and accessing e-mail is making me think i will soon get rid of this phone, and buy a motorola...my service provider, telus, apparently will not like this, and i will be out about 250$ CDN because i will have to buy a new phone, but the a540 is becoming a frustrating item after about 3 months use....
