Sky Digital are, in my opinion a very average satellite provider.
They put the same films on over and over again but on different channels. Far too many adverts which come over at a very high volume. Very little new material on the most popular channels.
I have been on a Sky full package for 7 years & recently discontinued the service. A full package, (if you can call it that when they still want pay per view for some sports & box office) equates to £ 564.00 a year. Not worth it.

I am generally pleased with sky + but not happy with rep for not pointing out warranty limitations/ fees etc. But I should have read the small print. I never learn!

As soon as we signed up to see speak and surf which should have been £26 per month we were overcharged £12+vat every month. The call centre staff promise to put it right every month but still 18 months later nothing has changed. Now we have cancelled their services (or are trying to). We have been promised various refunds, but then received a bill with the threat off being cut off. When phoning to try to solve the problem we are told that the cancellation isn't even on the system. ...

We have had sky TV for the last 2 years as we can't get cable tv where we live so we had to opt for the more expensive sky TV. When we got it installed we got all the channels including sports and movies packages but soon cancelled the sports mix because it is cheaper to watch the sports you want in the pub for the extra it costs. Last year we also cancelled the movies mix as it was very expensive for the same movies to be repeated all the time each month and it was cheaper to buy the movies we ...

I've had Sky Digital since 2004 but will soon be coming to the end of my contract and not renewing. My favourite channel was paramount comedy but since roughly 2005/2006 they began broadcasting sleazy programmes after 12.00 AM, such 'Naked Camera' & 'Badly Dubbed Porn', and it's not just that they've taken over the time slots when they used to air stand up and other sitcoms they're just not funny. Also, recently they've started a trend where they run a whole season of one sitcom over the weekend ...

In general Sky is okay for the extra choice you get as long as you bear the above in mind. You will soon get bored of the repeats though, and any add-ons prove very poor value. If you want to cancel, they will do anything to try and keep you (eg. cancel your direct debit but not your subscription, then charge you an extra £4 for not paying by direct debit. Then they won't cancel at the end of your notice period as agreed, but will let it run an extra day or two into the next month, bill y ...

I've been with Sky since about April and so far so so good. When I first joined I was a bit worried because little did I know that you had to be at least 18 to subscribe to their services (I was 17 at the time), there was nothing on their website about having to be at least 18, I'd provided my real date of birth upon signing up and yet they still allowed me to subscribe. It was only when I had to ring customer services about something soon after that I found out, luckily I got away with it anywa ...

In December it will have been a year since I had Sky installed and I can say now that I am not regretting that decision at all.
My mum (after a lot of encouraging) opted to finally sign up to Sky TV and leave behind her days of Freeview TV. My mum was always convinced that Sky was too much money and a waste. However after finally convincing her, we signed up for the £15 month package (2 mixes) (and signing up for it had nothing to do with me being a mega LOST fan and Sky having just acqu ...

Three years, and we still have no reliable service. They simply do not care. We have the full SkyPlus package, including Premiership Plus. Tonight, Manchester United play the Champions League 2nd leg Semi. I have no signal. Yet again. The brand new box was only fitted Saturday. We have had the dish re-sited, the cables changed, many, many re-conditioned boxes. Finally, after writing to all the Directors at their home addresses, we got a "Special Service Call", which led to finally getting the ne ...

Once you get Sky + it would be hard to go back to normal TV because you get used to being able to record, rewind and pause live TV. It is amazing how far TV has come from those days when we just had five channels.

Saturday 16 Dec 2006 ordered SKY+. To be fitted on Friday so booked the day off work.
Wednesday, letter arrived confirming fitting, home telephone number wrong so rang them as they requested.
Passed to several people had great difficulty trying to explain the change in number.
I had found out earlier in the week that a friend has just has same system installed but he paid ony £50 plus fitting, mine was £100 plus fitting, like me he is a long standing customer. Explained situatio ...

I had to ring them up almost every day to get anything done. When I first rang them up they promised to have Sky TV up within 2 weeks, and broadband 2 days afterwards. It took them 4 weeks to set up the digital TV (only because I called them every day) and 6 weeks to install broadband. They never returned calls as promised. Nobody took responsibility for anything. If I called 3 times a day, all 3 people would tell me something different. They forgot to send my viewing card before an engineer sho ...

When we moved house recently we realised there was no terrestrial digital signal so the only option was a poor analogue signal or a satellite installation. Having looked into Freesat from Sky Digital, I reckoned it was quite good value at £150 for the installation and so I phoned them. In fact they were doing a special offer using refurbished boxes and we got the installation completed for £110 which seemed even better.
The quality of the sound and picture is good and we have th ...

Sky Digital TV has brilliant picture and sound quality. The box is very fast and responsive, unlike NTL. Also, the customer service is fantastic, unlike NTL. I had a very bad time with NTL. They have extremely poor customer service, and they don't seem to value their customers at all, so I was pleasantly surprised by Sky. I am so impressed by the service, that I now intend to get Sky Broadband.

Sky Digital initially rang me on a cold call and I agreed to take the service. They promised me a call from an engineer within 24 hours to arrange a time to fit the kit. It did not come. When I finally got back to sales in Glasgow via somewhere in India on the customer services number, I was told I could not have the special offer that had specifically been made to me 3 days before. The agent could not explain key points about offers that were available (what does £10 credit really mean? W ...

We get a good quality picture from Sky Digital TV, as the picture used to jump every day with NTL TV.
I have not had any issues with customer services as yet.
The monthly magazine is useful.

I got Sky+ for Christmas and was over the moon.
We spent the best part of a month wasting time on the phone, and with various sky engineers who couldn't have spent longer than 5 minutes telling us we couldn't get it installed as our flat is too high up (second floor!). Subsequent engineers came without ladders or the right equipment. We complained. We were told to try an independent engineer who would charge £150. I protested as I am self employed and had already wasted 2 days hangi ...
