“No interest in the customer, only the monthly fee”

I phoned Sky to cancel after being a customer for 7 years. They increased my tv/broadband/phone package by £15.00 per month, taking my monthly bill to £100.00, no warning or anything. When I phoned to cancel, I told them why and that I thought it was disgusting how they treated customers. They offerd me the same package for the new price of £67.00 per month. This proves to me that they are willing to overcharge but if the customer complains they will do anything to keep the customer. If they can afford to let me have Sky for £67.00 per month, why did they charge me £100.00 per month

“Money making machine ”

Agreed a direct debit with sky. They took out double agreed. I stopped that payment then even though there fault charged me £48 to reconnect. Complained but didn’t careless

“Sky dish being fitted to my roof. I do not subscribe...”

A sky engineer has fitted my neighbours new sky dish to my roof! and now will not remove it! At first they tell me I do not know what a sky looks like and would will me to climb up and take photos of the dish! Then I am told I can remove the dish so that any damage done on installation is my fault and not sky! now I am told they will not deal with this as the sky account related to the dish is not my account!!!! But its ok for me to accommodate the sky dish that I have not agreed to having on my property but they will talk to me regarding removing it! Sky have refused to deal with this problem. they have also refused to agree that they installed although on one of my many phone calls they told me they installed it on 26th January! Whilst making this complaint I was put on hold for 40 minutes. This is disgusting and a stalling tactic. I am so disgusted that sky feel they erect their dish where ever they like! I have written a complaint and still awaiting a reply and the removal of this dish!

“Awful Customer Service and Bill increase without warning”

Our bill changed without any warning from 12 to 29 pounds. We were charged through direct debit for this and wanted to know why and get a refund. We inherited our Sky account from previous tenants of the flat. Because we weren't the ones who created the account (despite all the account information being ours, paying the bills, and knowing the password) we weren't allowed to speak to them. We were being charged an unfair amount and weren't even allowed to ask them why. The final answer from customer service was, and I quote: 'I don't know' and can I speak to someone who does? no. Will definitely change providers as soon as our money is sorted.

“SKY TV ABSOLUTE JOKERS , EMPTIED MY BANK.”

Sky are a p take .... Id had sky full package for over 4 yrs ..... Always paid by direct debit on 13th of the month , never missed ever . I HAD 2 MULTI ROOM BOXES ALSO , I went to the cashpoint late sat evening and account was missing few hundred , couldn't understand it then find it is sky , whom persisted in telling my they have done a ping test on the multiroom box and fount the box is not connected so ive been charged? after lot of stress I worked out the 'ping test' is done once per moth to assure I'm not giving these boxes to my close neighbours apparently . However I'm then told if I want the account credited with over 300pounds they took without permission from my account, They would not return funds to account how dare they , It turned out after more nonsense from them that the engineer never even fitted the telephone cable to this said sky box therefore Could not possibly connect to ping back as they called it , Cheeky ******* Still adamant not refunding it and they will only credit account and as I discovered not done correct when originally fitted by there engineer ,Still my fault they tell me , Even added that actually the engineer is not responsible to fit it , even though paid for that sky then said it is my job to fit it , they caused so much stress unnessecarily and Soley down to them , Eventually I got my money returned via the direct debit guarantee and Sky then passed me to a balliff , They got not a penny and never will . CORRUPT

“Unhelpful ”

After been with sky for over 12 years I needed to reduce my package and make a saving, The person I spoke to was (I thought at the time) very helpful but after realising what channels I was left with I could have got all this on "free view" all the channels I watch I do longer get and I feel tricked and trapped into another contract, so I rang back and no help at all it seems sky are only interested in new customers

“Online operators”

Have spoke to three different operators and one especially(pity I can't name him was absolutely brilliant and professional helped put me at ease after speaking to 2 other big name suppliers who were not very nice to me.I now have a very good deal from sky and at last can watch my sports live .yippee the only down side is that it took me nearly all day on and off to speak to the online operator but do respect the fact they were exceptionally busy today. I knew what to expect as I had spoken on the phone three days to A very good operator who got me an engineer out on bank holiday Monday who was excellent by the way.downside I was without nearly all my programmes for nearly four weeks and i I've lost all my recorded programmes when the engine eer finished

“Awful company and dreadful customer service.”

Awful customer service. I put a complaint in on 1 August. I was told that I would have an update within 72 hours. I didn't. They have replied since, but not addressing what I actually complained about. They have changed my package, without telling me. They have increased what I have to pay, without telling me. I do not want the new package, as I was happy with the old one, so I am certainly not going to pay more. I have had no response to this aspect of the complaint and it's now 11 days later. I've asked for my complaint to be dealt with by somebody who knows what they're doing and actually addresses what I've said. I've heard nothing. Can't get through by phone. Can't get an answer on Facebook. Really poor company.

“worst service ever”

I signed up for sky and it was cancelled day before install cos previous tennants hadn't paid there bill phoned them all I got was bad attitude and them saying they can't do it until previous tennants bill is paid pretty disgusted no wonder ppl switching to virgin

“LEAVING AFTER A WEEK ”

Disgusting service and attitude . Nothing but bull from customer services . Phoned 6 times put on hold then cut off 4 times . Told porkies the other 2. Sky box been in 8 days told my free gift was automatically ordered when I joined then I had to order it which I did . Then told to reclaim it a week later . Feel a stunt as been pulled to trap me into a year contract . Will be returning the box . Companies shouldn't be allowed to act like this . In a nutshell I think sky are a revolting company .

“Awful”

i bought the sky broadband and phone deal so i cannot speak for the Tv side of it. I am appalled at how bad the internet is. at the best of times i get low internet speeds and every day at ~23:50 the internet completely cuts out for a couple of minutes. when i first got it there was only occasional internet lag and cut-outs. but after the first year of use i started to have my interenet not working almost everyday at various times for about 20 minutes at a time, making online gaming (a hobby of mine) virtually impossible and ruining the experience for me and my teammates. I am not sure if I am writing this in the correct place actually but oh well tl;dr: constant internet cutouts and lag. Rubbish

“working for sky is not as good as having sky on a deal”

never pay full price for sky if u threaten to leave by going to the cancelation department they will give you a deal, better still leave then they will email u and offer you half price tv. if your a new customer never sign up at a stand in a shopping centre it doesnt matter what they say they cant beat an on line offer. the people on the stand are pressured into getting sales and if need be they dont tell you all the truth. so if a new customer you must do it on line, and if a exsisting customer you are better cancelling and then contacting them and resign on a winback i will never pay full price

“Sky TV/Broadband ”

We decided to splash out when myself and my finace moved in together on sky TV/Broadband. After a rccky start and an engineer that came with hardly any tools and had to use mine and also afraid to drill a hole so I had to do it. then the problems really started. we went for the full package with multiroom thining that we would receive the best of everything. Well. since day 1 our broadband has not workled properly and we keep losing internet altogther for several hours. Thinking we were in a bad signal area I had this checked and apparantly we are in one of the best area's. I called sky and asked for help. they ran a 24 hr line test and said they would call me back. Of course they didnt call me. So I chased them up and they said that they would have to run a 24hr test. I explained that this had already been done but he insisted that it had to be done again. I got a call back this time and was told there is no problem even thouogh at the time of the call I had no internet connection. I also want to explain that the original set up was also wrong but thought just deal with one problem at a time. After 2 months and approximately 15 calls getting the same response "Oh we have to run a 24hr line test" I finally got someone that said "I think your profile has been set up incorrectly" he then went on and sorted the problem. I explained that I didnt want to have to pay for a service that I was not receiveing and he promised a call back from a manager. Yes you have guessed it no reply. I wrote to sky detailing everything and I got 3 misseed calls during the working day on my home phone saying they had tried to resolve my issues but couldnt get hold of me. well like most people I work normal office hours. When I calledfrom work I told the guy Iam sorry to be complaining but I am having issues with Sky at which point he said "really" then hung up. must admit I did think this was very funny. After 4 months now I received a credit for £17 and I am still without a recordable Sky box in my second room. I could go into so much more details about Sky as the service is the worst I have ever come across. Unfortunately the only they will confirm is I am stuck in this contrract for another 8 months however I will be leaving sky and using an alternative. I will never sign up to Sky again and reccomend that everyone explore the other options before choosing Sky. I have a lot of friends with Sky and a couple have never had a problem and never needed to contact Sky directly so they think its great and I hope it stays that way for them but just wait till you do hit a problem. You just cant get anywhere with them and they do not leave appropriate notes on your file so you have to explain everything everytime you call.

Skys prices have imporoved recently and they have a good selection of programmes now, so I think its worth the price as satellite tv does have the widest choice of channels.

“Sky must do better”

I have finally cancelled my Sky TV, having being a subscriber for very many years. Reasons are as follows:- 1. Far too many ads. Why should I have to pay for all this wasted time? 2. Far to many repeats. 3. Much content has been dumbed down to an unacceptable level. 4. I can get 90% plus of what I want on Free to Air / Saorview. 5. Sky is not a friendly company to deal with. 6. Customer service lines can take a very long time to answer. 7. Sky account cancellation procedures are cumbersome, rigid and wasted a lot of my time.

“3d and hd package ”

sky rang and offered a package of family bundle, movies 3d and hd. They never said that you had to pay for 3d films. After another phone call I could watch 3d films if they were old on the 3 d channel. Tried to watch 3d film today (older film) but have to have upgraded hd to watch any films in 3d. what a rip off ,thank god I have time to cancel. Going back to netflix no hastle from them at all very sorry I left.A warning to new sky customers don,t believe a word they say

“WORST TV EVER”

I am unsure as to were I should start.......... I have been around for a few years and have enjoyed quite a few Christmas and New Years in my time. As a young boy, a young man, a father with my children and grandfather with my grand children.....I have always looked forward to sitting down at holiday times to watch the Christmas and New Years entertainment. This year was no different......except the fact that the selection of television entertainment that was served up by SKY was the most deplorable, pathetic, boring, useless rubbish I have ever witnessed. I got to thinking that I am paying money each month for this and this is all that SKY can offer?...... I can't believe that a company such as SKY fouls offer up such a damp squib... Your films were anything but entertaining......... There was little or no Christmas feeling in the selections available. We ended up listening to radio programmes. SKY is without doubt riding on its own previous reputation of providing quality of service and value for money.....what a waste! I am now considering other companies who appear to offer better value for money.

“Sky dish repair ”

Following a windy Saturday in Ireland, our sky signal would not work. We phoned Sky and we were advised we had to wait 10 days for an engineer to call out. This turn around is not acceptable, they are well equipped with sales staff out knocking on doors and in shopping centres but no repair engineers to carry out simple tasks. No one else on our road with Sky dishes were damaged from the wind so I believe it was not fitted correctly 3 months ago. Ireland gets windy weather so am I to wait another 10 days for it to be repaired again following another storm? We were told that if we wanted to change to a different supplier we were more than welcome too and we were provided with the same scripted responses of the turn around time. I think especially in winter/christmas time they should be more well staffed to deal with these issues

“Expensive for poor service (customer and tv/telephone)”

After trying to set up my land line (which you are forced to purchase in order to get TV or broadband) I realized I could not receive calls. I called once and during the call was disconnected. I called back and was put through to three different people. The third person was so rude. Not only that, but I was told that the line had failed a test so they had engineers working on it. The turn around time was 4 days. When I asked how I would know if it was fixed her reply was "you have a mobile don't you?" So just to make sure I understood, I asked if she was telling me to continue to try to call my land line to check if it was working. She then stated I could just wait to see if anyone called me during that time and that would show it was working. This is also ridiculous as I haven't handed out the phone number of a non-working line! I then asked if I was being charged for the service while I was NOT receiving said service and was informed I could be credited back the days it was out of service IF I called back AGAIN after 4 days and requested it. AT this point I hung up before I absolutely lost it. WORST customer service EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Sky Telling You”

The cost of SKY is very high for the service that is provided the phone line and broadband not as good as they say, the TV side is rather expensive for the programs that are shown as the channels are duplicated by three, that means so many channels with the same program running at the same time, ok they say hundreds of channels but take away the duplicated ones and the count is down to a very small number, and some days are duplicated so what one saw yesterday you have today; so one gets a bit frustrated and switches off, complete rubbish and a waste of money
