Good Points: Easy to get the card.

General comments: Customer Service is marginal at best; they charge you $4.95 to pay your credit card bill online, which they should offer free like most card companies since it cuts costs and offers easy ways to pay; the interest rate is HORRIBLE.
This credit card/financial institution in Georgia needs to go AWAY. Something needs to be done to them and their predatory lending practices.

I am a person that likes credit cards, I always pay my cards on time and always pay more than the amount due. Aspire is the worst credit card I have ever had. Their intrests rates are unheard of. It doesent matter if you pay your bills on time they will never lower your interest rates. They haven't mine anyway.
I paid them off with another one of my credit cards with a 11.24% intrest rate instead of 29.99% intrest rate that Aspire charges. Check around good before you get this card, Please!

I used the Aspire Visa Credit Card, tried to cancel - paid my bill and they never posted payment and a year later showed huge balance due to late fees. I found the only way to settle was to pay this bill which I did. They NEVER updated my credit report and after (3) years it is still showing UNPAID which has hurt my credit.!!!!! Help! What can I do to reach them????

They were a good company as long as I paid my bill in full each month, but now I can't understand how my bill was $400.00, I paid $100.00 and now my bill is over $500.00. I used my card at Christmas to buy presents and also moved the next month and had a lot of moving expenses. I used it on line also. I ran up my balance to over $400.00. Upon receiving the next statement, I immediately called them and made a payment of $100.00. I cancelled this card because some on-line companies had continued t ...

I had aspire for a few years. We paid it off back in 2006. Now we got a letter in the mail saying we owe them $2700. We are in collections from midland credit. I don't understand how they can get away with what they are doing. If you pay something off, there is no way they should contact you any more.

The information in this is factual and this is one of the worst companies to deal with. They will cause their users to have a nervous breakdown.

I will state that I was never late or over limit on this card in the two years I used it in college HOWEVER I have recently had a problem with it... I closed it over a year ago. In Sept 2006 I paid it off and closed it only to get a forwarded piece of mail this year stating that not only was an annual fee charged this year but it was past ue... on a closed account. I finally got in touch with someone in India who said "well do you have proof" I told her I could give her the pay off date, the ...

Aspire Visa have been very unhelpful, and have expected me to pay, even if my credit card hasn't worked when trying to use it at retail stores.

Outrageous charges, poor customer service, poor website for making payments (usually down), can't provide payoff balance to close the account - this way they can keep it open to post more charges. DO NOT GET THIS ACCOUNT, IT WILL FOLLOW YOU LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

I posted a review of this card last year when I'd had it for about four months. Now, I have had the card for about 15 months. I am still pleased overall with this card, much more than the other "rebuilder" type cards my husband and I have, even considering the high fees I paid when I first opened this account! (STAY AWAY from First Premier (no cli in over a year and they charge a high fee to pay online) and Orchard (they will offer you a low interest rate and then jack it up, and also give no ...

To date I have had a really good experience with Aspire. I started with a balance of $500.00 then after several months of paying on time they increased my limit to $1,000.00. I try not to charge more than I can pay off in two to three months. I have never had to contact anyone by phone but I did request a card for my spouse through email and have her added to the account and they did it with no problems. My only complaint is the $4.95 they charge to make my payment on line but I can write it off ...

In my opinion, the Aspire Visa Credit Card is not a good card at all, as the interest is too high.

I find the Aspire Visa Credit Card a terrible card for the interest rate they charge. They have continuous hassle with the internet log in and payment centre and offer no help on phone.

I got this credit card as my first card to build credit when I was 18. I paid on time every month, and they gradually increased my credit limit. The website and customer service is horrible and you can barely understand the customer service reps. They lost a check once. I called a few days before it was due because it still hadn't posted and they said they never got the check. So I had to pay to have the check cancelled and pay it online before it was late. I started paying online after t ...

The Aspire Visa is the worst credit card to deal with. Their customer service is non-existent, and I will now have to take the matter further.

Let's face it! If you have bad credit you'll have to pay to establish your credit. Fee's for the cards are worth paying for if you are trying to re-establish credit. Keep your balance very low on the Aspire Visa Credit card, and pay your monthly payment on time and you'll be OK.

First I cancelled the my Aspire account, but continued to pay it off. The charged me a $50 annual fee, but did take it off when I called an explained the account was closed. Then the nightmare began!!!!

Paid off card online but they assessed a $15 fee after the fact. I knew I paid it off so I forgot about it. Then I got a bill for $100+ I emailed them to ask for copies of statements, but never got them. Every month a new $35 late fee plus interest. Now, a collection notice from Midland ...
