The magazine covers the post World War II years very thoroughly with lots of interesting articles about spotter's activities in those halcyon days. There hasn't been a single issue that hasn't contained an article which hasn't been of interest to me. My father is a regular reader of the Steam World magazine.
The magazine concentrates on steam trains, but it does ocassionally have photos and articles on traction etc,.
My father swears by this magazine and has a huge amount of knowledge of steam trains, most of which he has got from reading the magazine over the years.
The photograhy is pretty impressive too.
You will find all the information you need on the best places to visit and annual events etc.
