we were in the hotel balmoral, food was excellent, views from hotel were stunning, the people who work there just do there job without getting into any conversation, they can be hard work.hotel doesnt put on any entertainment, and gets overrun with spanish holidaymakers at weekends, they can be very noisy.all inclusive drinks are very cheap local ones, the lagar is virtually undrinkable, lovely swimmingpool at the mastines hotel which you can use, entertainment is very average butlins type ,the resort is small one lovely beach cove excellent walkway around the cliffs, town has a few bars for a change and decent beer, all in all you get what you pay for ,but wouldnt put anyone off going ,hope this helps

Booked our stay at the Sol Balmoral on globallatedeals.com and was surprised how cheap it was. Had no issues with any part of the holiday or booking. Hotel was basic, but clean and tidy. Rooms were OK, not massive, but we had a balcony overlooking the pool which was nice as we could sit outside with a drink in the evenings.
Plenty of entertainment for the kids (it was 'mini-disco tiiiiiime' quite frequently!) and sports activities for kids and adults (archery, football, pool games, etc..) Main ...- Read Guest's review (203 words)

I really did not enjoy my stay at the Sol Balmoral. From the outside the hotel looks like a prison camp and has big stains running down the walls between balconies. The marble steps down to the lifts are all discoloured round the edges. The chairs in the restaurant (which is more of a cafeteria), are stained. My room had two very uncomfortable beds in it and it was like sleeping with a tractor in the room because the ceiling fan made so much noise. Even on full power, the fan generated no coo ...- Read Guest's review (247 words)

I honestly cannot understand people complaining at the Hotel Sol Balmoral. It had everything we needed and more. The food was brilliant, there was something for everyone. The rooms were cleaned everyday. All the staff were brilliant, from the restaurant to the bar to the reception. The entertainment staff were really good and worked hard too ensure all guest had a great time. If you wanted to join in you could if not they left you alone. All in all a hotel I wish I was still stopping at and woul ...- Read Guest's review (113 words)

Everything about the holiday was great. The staff that greeted us offered us orange juice while we checked in. They were so helpful for the 2 weeks we were there. They noticed my parents were also stopping there and put us next to each other, which was fantastic. The food was brilliant. We had planned to eat out a few nights but the food was that good there was no need. There was something for everyone, I didn't think there would be so much choice and it was the same for every mealtime. The snac ...- Read Woggers08's review (264 words)

We have just had 2 fantastic weeks at the Sol Balmoral. We really couldn't fault it. The staff were excellent. The food and drink was fantastic. There was never any problems with sunbeds the pool and pool area was kept very clean. The entertainments team were great and while we didn't join in much we loved watching!! My 2 year old daughter loved the mini disco and is still talking about it now! You are issued with a photo card on arrival for the all inclusive and room key which I thought was muc ...- Read lucylou05's review (134 words)

Lovely location. Set on a rugged coast line, surrounded by Spanish villas.
Friendly staff.
Fairly basic facilities. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms, only 1 plug, no TV, no fridge.
I am still here so will get back to write a full review when I return.- Read Guest's review (48 words)

I thought the pools at Hotel Sol Balmoral needed a good clean, bottom pool is a mess in my view, and I think all the sun beds need a service and clean. I also think that some staff could treat people better, and they also could've provided us with more of a smile. I think it would be good to clean cat mess from around pool too.- Read grahambarryhill's review (109 words)

I honestly cannot understand why this hotel has had such bad reviews. I was dreading going to this hotel after reading the reviews before I went, and was very relieved that it wasn't at all as bad as some people were saying. I'm not sure if the hotel had, had an overhaul before we arrived, or if it was the bad weather that had dampened everyone's spirits during may? I would recommend this hotel for people that want a nice, cheap, holiday, that don't expect a 4 star hotel when paying for a 3 star ...- Read Guest's review (266 words)

Stayed at this hotel a while ago but thought I'd leave a comment to say that it is a brilliant hotel. I stayed all inclusive and food was excellent, different selection every day and plenty for everyone. There are two pools, one really noisy and was always packed although quieter pool at the bottom, always free sunbeds. Although beach is a little way out there is a little path to walk through with nice views of sea, about a 5-10min walk. Great for all ages, Pub down the road, two for one on drin ...- Read Guest's review (138 words)

For a cheap and cheerful break its Ok. Remember to take your own towels for pool use and make sure if you have an early flight to pack some food and a drink the coach to Palma can take up to two hours depending on collections from other hotels. The entertainment is basic no piped music. Not a lot to do for teenagers. On the whole hotel needs modernising but very clean.- Read jobeejo's review (124 words)

Have just arrived home today having spent just 3.5 days at this hotel! Was due to stay till Tuesday but we ( 3 of us ) paid extra and got flights home early. The hotel looks like it is stuck in the 70's with drab decor and awful furnishings, most of the sofas were threadbare or had fag burns in them and stained. The food.....oh my god you would not believe it!!!!!!!!! Everything was cold. Have you ever had salad for breakfast??? well if you go here you will be served it for sure. The evening e ...- Read maggie3's review (241 words)

I don't think I have ever had a worse holiday in my life, 10 days of hell. When we arrived we were told we were on the top floor, thought we would be out of the way of all the noise we was quite happy about that, In the room, twin bed a headboard a desk and (small chair) another chair, ceiling fan(noise) and 4 wall lights in the bath room the usual equipment with a nice big mirror that you could not use it if you had used the shower. With regards the shower, we found it fine if you used it by 4. ...- Read kenandkath's review (653 words)

The food is rubbish if you like chips and lamb chops every day covered in oil then this is probably the hotel for you. In my opinion every drink is watered down. It rained every day and the roof leaked. The lift broke down nearly every day we had two power cuts and all our lights went out. There is no entertainment and the staff did not help us with anything. This is our first holiday together and I would not recommend the hotel.- Read Guest's review (85 words)

I think this hotel is in need of a complete refurb, and some new nicer staff. We have been to this hotel twice (oct,06 & oct,07) and the latter has been rubbish. If you enjoy sausage, burgers or pork chops as a choice of food for your main meals everyday you will like it. One night we left our food in the restaurant and went to eat elsewhere it was so bad.- Read sanpaulo's review (82 words)

Our Hotel Sol Balmoral, 2 adults and 2 children under 5. Fabulous holiday - good value for money. Best points was the fact staying at the sol hotels - you can go to the adjoining hotels - mins within each other to enjoy their pools, kids activities which you had to hunt for and ask about - evening entertainment (the entg pro rated around the 3 hotels). However like most hotels you have to dine at your destined hotel. Unable to walk to the nearest beach therefore find out bus timetable and you ...- Read Rann's review (140 words)

The Sol Balmoral was a good value hotel. It needs a bit of modernising but we all had a good holiday. It was the first time we had been all inclusive and I thought the food, drinks, and the service might be a little below standard but this proved not to be the case. I would recommend this hotel but you should be aware that it is a little dated. As a group with young children we thought the entertainment for the children could be improved as they didn't allocate enough time in our opinion.- Read markybezz's review (262 words and 1 comment)
