Good Points: I found the characters engaging and believable. I loved the idea that Jack could rewrite Annie's past. And the emails he sent her were beautifully written.
I also liked the humour in the book, particularily the newsroom scenes and the scenes of Annie with her mother.

Bad Points: I liked the book as is.

General comments: On the surface "Thief of Words" is a light, romantic comedy. It goes fast and before you know it, you've finished the book. But its messages linger. There's a lot to be learned here about love and forgivenss, not only between a man and a woman, but between mother and daughter.
