The Sharp GX10i is a great mobile phone. I only got mine a few months ago, and I love everything about it. Best of all it can be unlocked, so I don't have to pay Vodadfone's expensive rates, and I can use it on the Meteor Ireland network. (read more)

The Sharp GX10i is an overall average phone, reasonable price, and excellent at the job it's there for. Slightly bigger than you may expect but the quality camera makes up for that. A good phone for personal use, and people more bothered about the features than the overall practicality, probably not the ideal phone to be used as a work phone. Its size makes for dificulty fitting into trouser pockets (however the phone can have a neck strap attached). To conclude good quality phone but not... (read more)

I bought my Sharp GX10i mobile phone last summer and was really pleased when i started using it. Then i noticed that the amount of pictures you could take wasnt many. I had downloaded a few games off vodafone live (which were very dear!) and the amount of photo memory declined dramaticly.
This phone is very overpriced and isnt as good as other phones on the market. i was dissapointed with my sharp gx10i. (read more)

Over all the Sharp GX10i is very good but I would make improvements to it if I could. If you are going to get a Sharp camera phone get the GX20 or the GX30 because that is much better for the camera as the GX10i only has one stage zoom and the others have a lot more. (read more)

The Sharp GX10i mobile phone is easy to use and has a lot of features, 1 main one being the ease of use on the internet. the camera is good quality and can store pictures to your phone book so you can see who is calling you via a pic you have taken or Downloaded. Good call and sound quality add to a good sized phone for what it can do, plus it looks great. A few people have said that they cant put thier pics on PC, this is untrue, if you use the software that comes with the phone and not the... (read more)

I recieved a Sharp GX10i mobile for my birthday last year (2003),and was EXTREMELY pleased with it.
The quality of the screen is fantastic and very clear and easy to read, The backgrounds are bright are coulourful, but I'm not too sure on the "cracked mud" one.
As I said, the games are not that great, but they will definitely get you by if you are on a train or car journey.
A minor downfall is the battery life, if you are are used to Nokia phones (as I was) the amount of times you have... (read more)

To send pictures to email with the Sharp GX10i mobile phone costs far too much for a student to use. Having purchased a usb cable expensively I hoped problems would be solved. No luck, after many hours, the sharp website tells me neither infrared nor usb can be used to put the photos on my computer. The website does not give contact information, and refers user to Vodafone. The phone camera just became pretty useless to me. I feel that I have wasted money on the cable, and the phone. Had I... I bought the Sharp GX10i mobile phone for christmas and have been very pleased with it.i really wanted a phone with a high quality camera and this phone had a way better camera than the likes of the sony ericsson T610 or nokia 7250i. it is easy to use and the games provide decent entertainment plus you can download more. the only problem i have is that i can accidentally go into vodafone live by knockin the top right button. this is due to the soft key function the phone has. it isnt great... Thie Sharp GX10i Mobile phone is good for its "novelty" value. The Inbuilt Camera produce good resolution pictures once you email it to your account. This feature can never replace the resolution of a proper digicam and its not supposed to. I am disappointed on the phone's "business" value. You cannot trigger an alarm for a meeting that is set in your calendar.
I'm giving this a 10 in value for money as I got this phone for "free" when I upgraded my Vodafone plan. (read more)

I have found this really good on nights out on the lash, especially for the pictures of your mates with mingers. Doesn't really mould to the ear and can be uncomfortable if talking for a long time, but otherwise it is a great phone for the money. Get it from vodaphone.com as it is cheaper than anywhere else. The Sharp GX10i is a top spec phone for anyone. For gamers the games are incredible with the advanced polyphonic sound, ringtones are crisp and clear(better than the nokia 3510(i) ringotnes. The reception is great and the triband facility comes in handy if you like to travel. Take photos and then store them onto your pc with either cable or i/r. Java for downloading applications and the vodafone live service is accellent for quick and easy information. Do not be rejective, go out and buy one... (read more)

GX10i is the best phone compared to others like 7250,3650,7650 and P800. It has great reception and a excellent range of great games. It's camera is ideal for anyone and is perfect to take pics. But it is only purchasable on vodafone but that is no dissapiontment in that. The GX10i is the perfect phone for anyone to enjoy or for work. (read more)

Hey nice review. I'm getting the Sharp GX10i tomorrow and i've chosen it over various other (Samsung V200, Panasonic GD87 etc). You mentioned that you can transfer the pictures to your pc justwondering if you need anything extra to what you get in the box and if it's a complicated process?

Hi thanks for the comment, the software can be downloaded fron the Sharp support website as the cd contains the infra-red drivers and is only any good to use the phone as a modem not for pictures. You will need a data cable with rs232/connector(not usb) to use this free software from Sharp and can be bought from most places including ebay for about £10-£15.

I have tried 3 different serial datacables on my GX10i, none of them worked so i ended up with the MA USB and Handset Manager software bundle. This works a treat.....any picture you like can be uploaded to your phone :-)
