Good Points: Good quality images It has a bright LCD screen of a reasonable size which I have found quite good. It is also easy to use Reacharchable battery Cheap!!!
Bad Points: To use the LCD screen after switching the camera on you have to press the DISP button, which takes longer. Slow at starting up when switching on Not very good looking 7-8 seconds to store images after taking picture
General comments: The Fuji MX 600 digital camera has good image quality. I have found no flaws in the image quality, apart from some close-up images which were a little raw and showed some noise, dispite being on the only setting of 100 ISO. I found the camera easy to use. Even in manual mode it is quite an intuative camera. The flash unit is quite powerful for it's small size.
The camera has very slow start-up time and takes a long time after taking the picture to store the image. One of it's power saving options, that I would rather do without, is the LCD screen not starting up when I switch on the camera. I have to press the DISP button, so it thus slows down the process of starting the camera up further. Also the optical viewfinder is basic, displaying no information. Though it's cheap price tag makes up for this.
Overall this camera is very good. It is cheap but feels solid and rugedly built. The quality also is high. It's slow start-up time goes against what would otherwise be a very good camera. It is cheap and has a good number of features which is really all you would require from this type of point-and-shoot camera. It is certainly not a head-turner, but is practical and reliable, and I still use this camera for taking pictures for Ebay.

I've always liked Fuji digital cameras and although I'm happy to use the Fuji MX600 Zoom I'm not really comfortable with it. I find it bulky and unattractive which sometimes causes me to leave it behind when I might be tempted to take it to events if it looked a bit more "high-tech" and less like a child's toy. The time it takes from pressing the shutter to taking the picture is quite long (2-3 seconds) and also the time to record it to SmartMedia is slow too, especially (as you'd expect) with t ...

In about 3 months and possibly 25 hours of use I changed the batteries on this digital camera about 5 times. Luckily they were only AA batteries and nothing too expensive, but still it got old. So I returned the camera for an upgraded MX-600 model which include the rechargeable battery. I enjoy the battery life, but the bulkiness of the camera is not so nice. The sleek design of the MX-1200 spoiled me therefore I am currently awaiting the receipt of yet another Fuji digital camera...the MX-1700. ...
