I too have a problem with tearing. On one occasion actually split in half while wearing. I will never wear these proclear again. I wanted B & L but my doctor thought these were better - I'm going to insist this time.

Had the same problem as others on here with proclear compatibles. The lens keep ripping for no reason, I'm getting through them at 3x the speed I would other lenses, I've never had this problem before in 15 years of wearing contacts! Also seem to have a problem with causing my vision to be blurry every now and again, although not always in the same eye. I find them generally quite uncomfortable and have just placed an order going back to my previous lenses as I have never had a problem with th ...- Read Guest's review (95 words)

I've worn proclear compatibles for 7 years and found them more comfortable than other lens and as comfortable as daily disposables - however went to the optician today and was told I have blood vessels growing up on my cornea and would have to wear them for a considerably shorter periods (currently all day for 6 days and would have to be 8 hours for 4 days) and eventual be unsuitable for contact lens or change to another lens that allows more oxygen to my eye. Am trialling the 30 day continuous ...- Read Kimsywoo's review (112 words)

I love my Proclear Compatibles. They are light to wear, and no discomfort wearing them. I wear mine from 14-15 hours/day with no worries. Each lens lasts 1 month. I would highly recommend these lenses!- Read ohakana's review (102 words)

I couldnt believe it when i read the comments below - it confirms all my suspicions. There is definitely something wrong with these lenses. The first time my contacts ripped just after a day of wearing them, i thought it was just me. Then went the 2nd, the 3rd within a few weeks of each other (and these are supposed to be monthly wear!) and along with it, so did my confidence in proclear lenses. I am going back to my optician to cancel my prescription - been wearing lenses for 10years withou ...- Read guest1 1's review (121 words)

My doctor recently suggested that I switch to Proclear Compatibles, they were more expensive, but he said I would love them! I bought a 6 month supply...now 2 months later I only have 2 left for my right eye, and none for my left eye!!! They rip for no reason!! I had several rip completely in half! Sometimes right after I put a new one in my eye, it immediatly felt uncomfortable and when I took it out, it was ripped!! When I went back to my doctor to complain, they said it must be the way ...- Read Terri26's review (162 words)

I have complained to my optometrist, but they just say to use wetting solution. I asked if they'd had other complaints & they denied it. I want to change to something better as I know this is NOT normal since I have worn contacts for years & have used all of the same contact solutions.- Read beenieweenie53's review (133 words)

Proclear Compatibles are excellent and comfortable. I wear them for 12 hours and take out every night. I wear them for 2 weeks and replace them. At $2.50 a lens it's worth it to my eyes to replace every 2 weeks.- Read Guest's review (43 words)

I wore Proclear compatibles (toric) for years and was very happy with them until my optometrist said try Acuvue Advanced. Acuvue sux. I'm going back to these Proclear compatibles. They will most likely be my contact brand for life.- Read Guest's review (58 words)

Basically with all contacts, you need to take care of them. With good care, these contacts can be great. I've never had these contacts rip or anything of that matter. From reading these reviews, all the problems were lack of care. Contacts mainly stick to your eyes when there is too much protein build up, which means you need to take your contacts out.. And the reason that they are ripping is because of rough handling or from cheap solution. Maybe changing the contact lens solution will change m ...- Read Guest's review (167 words)

These freaking suck. Hard to get in. They totally suck to put in your eyes; both me and my girlfriend using them on trial can't get them in; I've worn contacts for over 20 years. Seemed when they went in they were fairly long wearing- Read Guest's review (44 words and 1 comment)

I have worn contacts for 17 years and have never had so many problems and this is the first time I've ever torn a contact. Just a bit of background, my perscription corrects for strong farsightedness and astigmatism. I use Clear Care solution every night and wear my contacts for ~18 hours a day. Anyhow, within 5 days of wearing my new Proclears the right one ripped. Two days later, the left one ripped. Fortunately these were trials so I did not yet buy the year supply. My doctor ordered an ...- Read nknep's review (161 words)

For the first time ever, I am able to wear contacts for more than an hour or two. I was reluctant to try contacts again but at my optometrist insistence I tried a pair of proclear compatibles and WOW! I put them in and it felt like they just disappeared. My vision was corrected 20/15. Mostly, I was amazed at how great they felt. I now wear contacts every day for up to 12hrs with comfort. Occassionally, I may have to drop a few moisture drops in my eyes, but it is only when I go inside my ...- Read kaijahna's review (169 words)

My eye doctor really pushed ProClear contacts so I tried them. Each time I went through 6 months of contacts in less than 3 months. The ProClear brand rips the first time I put them in or after just a few days of wearing. My vision is also blurry in one eye. I never had this problem with Ciba. I would never recommend this brand. For me its been one problems after the other with Proclear- Read Guest's review (93 words)

I have recently started to wear conts and proclear compatibles makes me never want to put on another pair out the 6 pair i've gotten all have torn except one pair in the past 3 months so i tried to get my eye doc. to change brands. She told me i needed to pay for another eye exam before i could get another brand. A couple of pair tore and the other part was stuck in my eye it took me several minutes to get it out, and other times they just tore to pieces in my hand, so i ask other people that i ...- Read teaforme2's review (132 words)

These things have ruined my night many a time by spontaneously ripping without having any external stimulus. Since I have a fairly strong prescription, this has at times sent me home from events prematurely, and other times endangered my life (no way to drive home safely). I would not recommend this to anyone unless their prescription was very weak and could get by without having contact lenses or visual aids.- Read Alkan's review (134 words and 1 comment)

I wear my Proclear Compatibles from 6:00am to 9:00pm and some times 11:00pm. Being busy and no time to deal with dry contacts, these helped me. They go in easy, come out easy, and stay in all day. Even in dry Colorado I found that when I travel through WY to ID my contacs don't dry out. My eye doctor explianed to me that this will fix my astigmatisem and found out it is working well. I would recommend it to anyone, I just wouldn't recommend Acuve. Acuve is dry and unconfertable. Even though they ...- Read chacheey's review (158 words)

I had a fortnights trial of the Proclear Compatibles contact lenses after wearing SureVue for years. They were great for the first few days, then they seemed to move on my eye and give blurred vision. I returned to the opticians and they changed the prescription, but the problem got worse. I eventually changed Optician and was given Aspheric lenses which were fine.- Read tmburns's review (68 words)

I was on the fortnightly trial and was given Proclear Compatibles. I only wore them for a week because it dried my eyes out so much that twice they were stuck to my eyes and I had difficulty taking them out. I wouldn't recommend these to any one.- Read tina khanum's review (66 words and 1 comment)
