All the other reviewers are right: I've been wearing contact lenses for over forty years, since they were bigger and thicker than bottle caps, and these are by far the worst contact lenses I've ever had. They're ridiculously, uselessly thin, and they tear literally when you're pulling them off your eye. I take my contacts out every night and I've literally torn them within 24 hours of first use. Avoid these contacts like the plague, and be very suspicious of any doctor who'd recommend them,... (read more)

I have been wearing contacts for 36 years. These lenses are the worst I have ever worn. I was wearing Biomedics 55 however their Rx does not go higher than a -10.00. I had a need for a -10.5 and so was recommended Proclear Compatibles by my eye doc. Right off, they started ripping when cleaning. They also appear to build up proteins on the lense immediately even with proper cleaning. I have been unable to wear these for longer than a few days due to discomfort or tearing of the lense. I was... (read more)

I have been wearing contact lenses all my life. Proclear contact lenses are the worst I have ever worn! I work in the legal field and in my opinion, Cooper Vision has manufactured a defective and dangerous product. Reading reviews here confirms this--it's not just me who has suffered damages from these awful contact lenses! Other brands of contact lenses may rip or tear, but Proclear is unique in that they develop microscopic tears in the center of each lens, often after only a few days... (read more)

I confirm that the pro-clear contact lens are great. There are much more comfortable than other contacts lenses i have used. But there are also very tear prone. They only last a couple of days after which they develop microscopic tears. And when they do, there get much more uncomfortable than any contact lens i have ever tried.
Again they are great...until they get those microscopic tears.

I've been using ProClear Toric since last summer and so far (knock on wood)I haven't had any tears. But I have to say that my trial pair was my absolute best. It was perfect and I was so excited to order more. However, the lenses I have ordered since then have not been as great as I thought they would be. Amazed at the negative reviews. Though I guess contact lenses are a personal preference thing. I'm really happy with Pro Clear. Decided to go back to contact lenes after a 2 year break. Boots the optician pointed me in the direction of "Acuve Moist", so I bought a 30 day supply (£39 in total). After a few days I realised that my expereince was truely horrid. When I had the trial lenses I didn't have this issue but I have gone through a 6 month pack in 1 month. I have had the exact same problem - the lenses are tearing on the laser mark, and I am very frustrated because I found them very comfortable to wear. Can't find another lense that is as comfortable, but they really need to make the proclear lenses durable.

I agree. Very comfortable lenses that lack durability. Tear constantly even in my eyes. Too expensive to continue wearing and tearing. Must switch back to previous lenses.

Basically with all contacts, you need to take care of them. With good care, these contacts can be great. I've never had these contacts rip or anything of that matter. From reading these reviews, all the problems were lack of care. Contacts mainly stick to your eyes when there is too much protein build up, which means you need to take your contacts out.. And the reason that they are ripping is because of rough handling or from cheap solution. Maybe changing the contact lens solution will... (read more)

In Summery, Proclear Contact lenses help out a little with dry/pasty feelings at the end of the day.
BUT they're smaller B&L or Acuvue2, more difficult to get out of your eye, and have no markings to indicate if it is inside out or not.
I would say pass on it!!!
First try those eye drops for contact lense dryness. Then get a try out pair from your eye doctor. If he doesn't give them out, go to a better one that does.
