These are by far the worst contact lenses ever made... after a few days of wear my eyes went bloodshot and swollen ulcers were forming in my eyes. My Eye Dr. advised to stop using immediately. Switched back to my normnal Acuvue 2's no problems! Thinking this may of been a fluke or other cause I tried the Advance again and boom it was the same thing over again scary stuff! (read more)

Don't even try these lenses, they will damage your eyes. I know how to wear contact lenses and keep them clean. I've worn other brand lenses and I take care of lenses so well I could wear 2 week lenses for months. This brand... I can't even get through 2 days without worrying that my eyes are permanently damaged by the end of the day. white spots on lenses. A whole box (six lenses) hardly lasts a week and half and they are not supposed to be daily lenses. Absolutely horrible! Don't even... (read more)

I've worn soft lenses for over 20 years now and this is the worst experience I have ever had with any contact lenses, ever. Within a few hours of putting them in, they get foggy, they have deposits on them, and they lose their shape, getting the fold around the edge and they get all scratchy feeling. I was told they're supposed to last for up to 2 weeks, I'm lucky if I get 1-2 days before they're trashed. Ridiculous. The old Acuvue 2's would last me for a good month before they had the... I have worn contact lenses for 15+ years. I have had all of the normal problems with them in this time, dust/hair in your lens, folding, and tearing after I wore them for longer than the two week window. The 'large super product store' that I have always gotten my lenses at decided to stop carrying my old brand, so my Dr prescribed Acuvue for me. After the first two or three days the lenses get very un-comfortable and I couldn't figure out why they always felt dirty until I held them to a... (read more)

These lenses are horrible. I have worn contact lenses for the past 20+ years and most recently have worn Acuvue II's. My doctor recommended the Advance with Hydroclear, and I have had nothing but problems ever since. I feel a dry gritty film on my eyes. I used to never feel my other contacts. Also, I have gotten headaches every evening after more than 8 hours of wear. My eyes are constantly dry. Absolutely horrible. (read more)

I have worn contacts for over 15 years, and I've never had an issue with these. My optometrist recommends that I wear them for two weeks at a time, but by the end of the first week they dry out very early in the evening. If I wear them to 10 or 11 PM they start to scratch my eyes, which just gets progressively worse every day, until I can no longer wear them at all. I will be asking for a refund on my unused lenses. Absolutely horrible. (read more)

Do not buy these lenses if you wear makeup. I've been wearing contacts for over 20 years and these are by far the worst lenses I've ever tried. Shortly after putting them in my eyes they would feel gritty and when looking in mirror you could see visible deposits on them, even fresh out of the package after onnly a few minuts. I was told this is likely makeup sticking to the lense, although I wear makeup for contact lenses wearers and it never happened with my previous brand. However, my... (read more)

I have been wearing contacts for about 10 years. I have never had a problem wearing lenses until my doctor recommended these Acuvue Advance lenses. At first I was able to apply them with little struggle, but now I can't seem to get them into my eyes. The lenses fold REALLY easily. If I can get them into my eyes at all, the bottom folds in and irritates my eye and I have to taken them out. I would not recommend these lenses to anyone. (read more)

I don't understand why people are reporting goo and stuff, maybe some people are allergic or something as this doesn't sound normal and they don't do it to me.
They do tend to fold if you are clumsy with them, also they seem quite delicate. (But I am used to the old ones that lasted a YEAR, and then RPGs, so all disposables seem flimsy to me!) As for the reviewer who claims they take 20 minutes to put in, that person must be doing something strange...

I have worn contacts for years, my prescription changed, my optomotrist said "let's try Acuvue Advanced". Big mistake. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. These are without a doubt the worse lenses I've ever owned. Normally I can put contacts in in a minute. These lense take at least 20 minutes to get in since the lense likes to constantly collapse and taco, and stick to your finger instead of your eye. For example you go to put the contact in and it folds back on itself and wraps around your fingertip instead.
Also they're extremely uncomfortable. It always feels like there's something in your eye no matter how much you clean the contact....

Very comfortable lenses for me! I guess everyone really is different. I used to wear Acuvue2 and they were fine - but they did tire my eyes out after 12 hours or so. The Acuvue Advance let me wear them all day and evening with no discomfort. I recently tried the Pure Vision ones. Acuvue Advance Contacts were horrible! I swore it was something wrong with my eyes!!! I went frantically to the optometrist to have my eyes examined. I've been wearing B&L toric lenses for quite a few years and have always been relatively pleased, except my vision tended to deterioriate in the evening. I recently tried the newer Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism. When I took the trial set home I was immediately struck with the tendency of the lens to "taco" during handling. This is probably due to the dual-slab design of the lens (thinner at the top and bottom for centering with bliniking) as opposed to the prism design of the B&L lenses... (read more)
