Do not buy these lenses if you wear makeup. I've been wearing contacts for over 20 years and these are by far the worst lenses I've ever tried. Shortly after putting them in my eyes they would feel gritty and when looking in mirror you could see visible deposits on them, even fresh out of the package after onnly a few minuts. I was told this is likely makeup sticking to the lense, although I wear makeup for contact lenses wearers and it never happened with my previous brand. However, my son wears these same lenses and likes them very much. So it appears they are fine for people who do not wear makeup.

These Acuvue Advance lenses are just passable as daily disposables

My optition recommended these contact Acuvue Advance lenses although I had been wearing normal dailies for a year she gave the impression they were good for my eyes, the contact lenses were comfortable for a few weeks until they started to get harder to put in and made my eyes sting really badly and at I noticed i couldn't see well in one eye and it would be perfect in the other. I would not recommend these.

I have been wearing contacts for about 10 years. I have never had a problem wearing lenses until my doctor recommended these Acuvue Advance lenses. At first I was able to apply them with little struggle, but now I can't seem to get them into my eyes. The lenses fold REALLY easily. If I can get them into my eyes at all, the bottom folds in and irritates my eye and I have to taken them out. I would not recommend these lenses to anyone.

I have worn soft contact lenses for the last 25 years. These Acuvue Advance lenses are easy to insert, and feel very comfortable to wear. I typically wear them for one week, then discard them.

I got Acuvue Advance as a trial pair on doctor's advice -- horrible! They're slippery and fold over when you try to put them in, then once in, they dry out easily and blur like crazy. I said No Thanks and went back to Acuvue 2 for the actual prescription.

I don't understand why people are reporting goo and stuff, maybe some people are allergic or something as this doesn't sound normal and they don't do it to me.They do tend to fold if you are clumsy with them, also they seem quite delicate. (But I am used to the old ones that lasted a YEAR, and then RPGs, so all disposables seem flimsy to me!) As for the reviewer who claims they take 20 minutes to put in, that person must be doing something strange...The lenses themselves are very comfortable. Pe ...

The worst lens I've ever worn - eye goop, blurry vision, don't last for more than 4 days,I cannot recommend the Acuvue Advance contact lenses for that reason. If contact lenses are to be worn all day in your eye, they need to be very comfortable.

I have worn contact lenses for over 37 years and when I first made the change from hard gas permeable lenses to soft lenses 5 years ago, my optician recommended Acuvue Advance. I have not experienced any problems until this year.
This year I have noticed that the recently purchased batch behaved differently than the previous lenses. The lenses seemed to fold more easily and I sometimes had difficulty in removing them. During recent months I have suffered from very bloodshot eyes after wearing t ...

Would not recommend. Previous version, much better. They are comfortable for the first few hours but soon irritated my eyes. I found that they folded easily and some chipped straight out of the packaging.

I have one regular Acuvue Advance and one Acuvue Advance Toric. I don't notice as much problems with the regular lense.

A lot of people say acuvue advance is really uncomfortable and bad. but for me, they are really comfortable and perfect! i used to wear acuvue 2 but i recently switched to acuvue advance. for me, acuvue 2 was too uncomfortable and my eyes got dried out VERY VERY easily. but i was fine for 10 hours with acuvue advance. it has a very clear vision. although it is a little harder to insert and take the lenses out, it shouldnt be a problem.

This is the only Astigmatism lens that I can wear. Crisp vision and does not slip. I recommend to anybody who has tried other astigmatism lenses and have been unable to wear them.

I wore Acuvue 2 for at least 4+ years. Switched to a trial pair of Acuvue Advance. Within 4 hours, the lenses were feeling dried up in my eyes. I stuck with them and the dryness problem did not go away after 4 or 5 days. So I'm switching back to Acuvue 2.

I'm hoping they clear up soon. I'm wondering if there is an adjustment period? Thank goodness this is a free trial pair. I put them in for the first time this morning. My vision is not as clear as with my former lenses, "2 Clear" premier toric. I feel slightly nauseous after wearing them for several hours.
I have to say that the Acuvue Advance contact lenses feel comfortable although my eye gets itchy now and then.

I have worn contacts for years, my prescription changed, my optomotrist said "let's try Acuvue Advanced". Big mistake. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are very uncomfortable, which I believe has something to do with the fact that they fold in on themselves. When I went to take them out last night, the one in my left eye didn't readily release from my eye. Instead, it folded in on it's self whilst still in my eye. I'm going back to my old brand.

I am a very experienced lens wearer and can put lenses in and out easily. I have worn most types over the last 22 years. I was given a sample pack and told how wonderful they were by the optician as they are so much more breathable. I popped them in easily and yes they were really comfy. Then I jumped in my car and went to the shops. I had a real panic as by time I had got to the checkout they were completely fogged and would not clear on blinking. I sat in my car and rubbed my eyes praying they ...

Kept getting filmy substance of them and I had to always take them out in the middle of the day. Made my eyes always red and irritated.
