Good Points: I like being able to remove the whole heating element and thermostat. It makes cleaning so much easier. I have always used the lid when required. I cannot understand the previous comment about not being able to use the lid. The double wall system is very effective. A neat design. I am here now because the element has broken so I need a new one. I guess it has lasted nearly 10 years.
Bad Points: The basket tends to touch the upper level of the oil when in the draining position. This only happens with a big load but it does mean the food in the bottom of the basket can get some extra cooking.
General comments: A good robust well made appliance.

I wish I had never bought the Morphy Richards 45062 Professional Coolwall and cannot believe that someone expects me to use a fryer without a lid. Looked OK in the picture.
